I finally got my server to show up in the browser so I'm running it full time now as an 8 slot. We'll see if it lags and how much it affects my net connection. Anyone is welcome to use it and do whatever you want on it. The admin password is "headshot" just don't abuse it. It's default is mAAp Pipeline but feel free to change it. Any questions or comments should go here.

Don't see how you get nilobject exception running a server? Prehaps a auth map change could'nt find a file.

I got another one last night but the funny thing is, the server list is still refreshing with the error on top. I can't think of anything on my end that might be doing it except for RDC.

*EDIT*
My server works now :P Had to unblock IGN Entertainment on ports 1717 and 27900 in PeerBlock. I never think about that program since it runs minimized and hidden. Since my server will run full time now, we should get down to the root of this problem. I'll try replicating it and see what's going on. Is there any update checks or odd server calls that happen overnight in Assist?

If you want you can turn it off, Server settings, disable maap team view.

I say talk to Crusade :) I don't have the source nor do I know how to compile/edit code.

Back on topic, this whole thing went really fast, Jonny obviously put in a lot of hours coding this beast. Great job :)

Hmmz. Right after joining Defense (you were on assault) i received the message "you will join this team as soon as possible". But it ended up switching me to your side! Funny :D

Btw joining assault on your server worked fine (joined after you left)

This map has something wierd to it, i can hide inside a tree (in a standing position). That's because some trees reach the water/ice level (which seems to be not "water" but rather a trasparent texture object) but they don't reach the lake bottom and are empty too. ;D

I believe Blueblaster rebuilt Ice from scratch and I think it's unfinished. I'll take a look at it soon but it's most likely not Assist.

After MP6, I realized it was pretty stupid to name them MP60 since I would have to rename them all for every version, including briefings and tours. So, I was just going to remove the 60 but I can't do that for the textures and meshes since I would have to replace all the meshes and textures in the maps.

Updated with a fresh build. I went crazy and added the highest quality shadows on most all surfaces that have nice shadows. Bigger map size but I think it's worthwhile.

Yea, I was mindblown when I saw the comments in those actors. Imagine... a game with environmental impacts for bullets and weapons, javelines, vehicles, ai and more in a game 7 years ago. If only the devs had a chance...

lol, random guy in jesus pose. He should be huddled like the nurses on Hospital but I didn't get a chance to look at it. Bedroom in break room needs a LOT of help, that room was just made as a spawn point when I had the locked door going on but I still feel like it's a fair and natural place for people to spawn. Light particles do need some love, I'll work on them.

Thanks about the grass, I've tweaked the crap out of it. I'm trying to go for realism and activity with the NPC's.

By the way, I was just looking around in the code, apparently yet another unfinished item on the dev's wishlist: environmental impacts on bullets and weapons. AGP_WorldInfo actor was meant to provide humidity and temperature data to alter misfire rates on weapons. They also had a wind actor which altered bullet direction. Cool stuff. I also came across the xProcMesh and googled... guess what I found:

I was looking at the files and mAApFriend already downloads in Assist, it's just not used. Can it be used by default in mAAp servers and have an option in the server hosting to disable it pretty please :)

If it gets to the point where Normal and mAAp modes can be unified, I can make a real cool looking loading screen. The problem with normal mode is that when you hit the ~ to go to the console, you're viewing the map entry.aao. When you type in "open bridge.aao" and hit enter, you're viewing a texture overlay of one of those Army core value things. In mAAp I can get around the texture overlay by replacing the texture with a transparent one in T_UI2.utx. Can't do this in normal mode because of Punkbuster :(
