I went and found Spankyville since it was more of a test than any other map. There's only 1 spawn point, 5 AI guys and a ton of Karma objects not to mention max'd lighting and other neat stuff. I think it will be our proof-of-concept map to test and implement stuff for other maps. Jonny might even add a button in the training menu or something :)

I noticed the background for the red and green buttons is black when the surrounding area is grey. I opened up Photoshop and edited them so they blend in better. Here's the fixed ones:

Haha. I've always wondered about a lava floor type situation where there's moving platforms to jump from one end to the other. Players spawn without weapons then it's a dodgeball type scenario.

Done. Added some playerblocks, vertex edited the terrain and added a killing zone for anyone that goes down too far. Quick and dirty fixed but they'll work.

I just finished fixing this map up. Removed 2nd story Defense tower entirely. I made that during my copy-pasta phase where I was just learning about the editor. It was buggy and poorly made and Defense doesn't need another reason to camp. I also spiffed up some shadows and whatnot. Map is ready to go unless there's other suggestions for it?

are we able to increase/decrease certain sounds, so u cant sound camp as effectively, (pipe being a huge sound camping dream and a perfect example of how super human the hearing is) lowering footsteps so they can be heard at a much smaller radius. ja ja ja ja, Salat Flugzeug beischlaf U-Boot; skrewy verfolgen riesig Rute dicke Mann

Anything is possible. That would require coding though.

When mAAp v7 comes out, I'll be making my server mAAp only. Basically, I'll just move regular maps out of the folder and whenever someone tries switching it, it will kick back to mAAp.

I was going to do this today but I don't want to be dickish and Skrewy had a good point about waiting for v7.

Are you going to keep this running full time? If so, might provide an admin pass here for people to use it so we can have another public US server.

Jonny, I know you're busy fixing bugs and making sure Auth is running properly but I wanted to make a list and a poll for everybody to see the positives and negatives for merging modes. It seems like to me that regular non-Assist servers aren't being used and there's only 3 or so of them but I know you do want to make it so anybody can play anywhere. Feel free to edit this post to add your positives & negatives.

Keep in mind that we can do most of the positives already but they would only be available in mAAp mode, the reason why it hasn't been done is that a lot of people don't play mAAp mode but regular mode.


Positives:
Customize the game in depth: AA3 weapon sounds, higher resolution HUD icons, custom loading screen.
No need for duplicate files like the modded T_UI2
Trim down installation size by removing useless textures/meshes/code
Custom in-game icons like those for 100+ honor or developer icons
No moving files before joining a server, get in the action faster

Negatives:
Can't play on non-Assist servers such as DNAF.
