Server Support / Re: Hosting an AA server on a Windows 8.1 tablet
« on: Saturday, April 25, 2015, 18:59:06 PM »
I guess you could use that tablet to play AA2 aswell (if it had some sort of video output to an external screen). I'm guessing you can use a wireless keyboard and mice with it, maybe? (if you ever wanted to).

It's interesting to see they've started using Intel cpus on tablets and smartphones, makes for experiments like that.

No I never built one My boy does. And my uncle built all my others.
So wither I built or never built doenst mean I dont know how to advise teddy, Because he was obviously struggling to find any where in the world that does spec builds lol. He trys so hard though. I thought I should help.

It means nothing if I built or never . SO whats your point? Seems like you are also hurt like teddy and searching for anything you can find to bring me down si I look stupid. But your really struggling to do that. Is that the case Spanky? If not whats your point?

:S I'm sorry but i beg to differ. And Teddy simply stated the obvious, he was looking for a suggestion from the people over here. Besides, writing what you did it's a long way to go to start another (offtopic) discussion between you and the people you're already discussing with in the other thread. So please keep it all in one, or keep it private.

Big Clan Day / Re: I'm considering to stop the Americanse BCD Server.

I don't want to be harsh but...honestly, are there enough american players for it to work? The guys i mostly hear of are these IL and some brazilian ones. And looking at the server, id bet there aren't more than 15/20 US hosted servers (on a "kind" guess estimate).

It's called a synonym. We have many in the English language.

UuUUhh, sarcasm just got off the scale : D

Climate change is a serious friqqin' problem, something everyone needs to consider and address. By reacting and adapting to climate change, countless social problems can be solved.

I almost thought you were serious :|

You would be correct. It's a Lego Darth Vader alarm clock that is unsurprisingly bad at keeping the correct time for a $10 licensed alarm clock.

Dart Vader wakes you up in the morning? ^^

Feedback & Suggestions / Re: Don't show amount of players on frontpage?
« on: Friday, April 17, 2015, 08:23:24 AM »
yes, i just wanted to let you beleave that its not because of the players which are not going to play this game anymore. now there are only 70-80 players around every evening and it will be more less then the half in 2-3 month.

but sounds much more better because winter time has gone ....

I've seen this happening before, i think. Probably the game needs more advertising, there are still tough steps for new players to come across their first hours of gameplay.

The anti-glare feature is a piece of plastic over the top of the screen and it reduces brightness and color quality as a side-effect.

I agree, I don't know that I could go glossy just for the sake of accuracy but it's something to think about.

Color accuracy? I'd still consider the practical side, sun/light can be a bitch.
This just reminded me a funny story about Ion Storm, that was housed at the top floor of a skyscraper in Dallas and the place was pretty much designed for being spectacular and not really practical.

Quote
In a fashion similar to other dot com busts, the company spent lavishly on office decor and facilities for employees.[1] The corporate headquarters of Ion Storm were located in Suite 5400,[2] 22,000-square-foot (2,000 m2) of space in a penthouse suite on the 54th floor, the top floor, of the Chase Tower in Downtown Dallas. Ion Storm spent $2 million on the facility

/cut

This location proved somewhat problematic. A notable problem with the office was that the sun shone through the glass rooftop directly into the monitors of the employees, forcing them to cover their cubicles with black fabric.

I highly doubt you'd notice it. They're more marketing tools anyway, there is no hardware testing standard for contrast ratios, latency or any of that. They say 2ms GTG, that's grey to grey which doesn't mean much. Independant reviews where people use tools to actually measure response times, ghosting, color accuracy and more mean a whole helluva lot more than what the manufacturer states.

Not to mention features like IPS panels, 120hz and up, anti-flicker, glossy screens and more are other things people often ignore.

IPS instead of TN panels, 120hz refresh rate and anti-flicker, i like that. But glossy screens? Depends on the use, i personally prefer matte screens. Working on a glossy screen with sun or lights coming right on it can be really annoying.

and remember, winter time is gone and most registred players are going out again to the nature to take others then aa2 :)

Lol. It's spring, AA players wipe their eyes, stretches their legs, and come out of shelters to catch their prey (newbies). Make a documentary out of it! xD

The only BT staff user who's still around quite often these days, is Frankof (he's also one of the forum moderator s on the official america's army forums). I don't think he has any access to things like these, though.

Winrar was the only tool I knew about. I don't see how a program would be superior while I haven't really had any issue with winrar. And Paint was pre-installed on my pc I guess, I never really downloaded it, and I'm not sure where I can find that snipping tool.

Start -> search form -> Outil Capture (i guess its the french name) et voilà.

So long for an inteligent to come to the forums. I now know how robinson crusoe felt.

They dont have to be inteligent just able to converse would be a giant step forward. No wonder you think we came from monkeys lol Any one looking at this would think you did.

Maybe its true for some . Thats it we hit it right on the nail. evolution is true. you lot came out of the sea and evolved in to maokeys and soon you might be able to hold a conversation wow. I am the leader who can teach you all I can see it now . Man its so clear. I am in charge of the monkeys in here. And I alone cam help you all to leanern and talk and every thing yess. I see it now. First thing we got to do is see if there is any level of supremecy here. any leaders. Ahh the leaders are way in front of the followers but they seem to stuggling with  basic communication skills. I will work with them first. starting with teddy. Hey teddy me full grown man. Me show you the wheel, and fire in one day.

Locked, at least temporarily, in order to let people think about their own opinion twice and put them down in a better way. By page 8 and 9 of this thread, i can't honestly tell what it really is about anymore...

Edit: unlocked.
