The Lounge / Re: Asus EEE Pad!
« on: Sunday, June 06, 2010, 09:44:05 AM »
This is pointless. Our market is not yet ready to support the iPads or its competitors, and all this will do is create a new trend --which we know people will follow-- and reduce the autonomy of computing market. People will not have a laptop and a Pad for the purpose of doing what a laptop alone would do, only less fashionable. Consumerism.

As for the Asus; Most of you know where I stand in regards to Apple's latests doings. For those who don't, let's just say I am not much of a fan of it, at this point in time. They are creative in their approach and science search, regardless. I wholeheartedly believe Mac needs to have a competitor to compete with, as otherwise the computing science might as well just get stuck in the pipe whenever Apple drains off. As true as this might be, there is no company capable of crossing fire with Apple (yet) at this point in time. The iPad is years-light from any of its competitors. Rather than working towards creating something as good as (debatable permisse) to rival the iPad, companies should be looking at how overpowering and outsmarting the excellence that is iPad.

I will neither get iPad nor the Asus.
They can both suck my balls.

"A quiet man is a man who knows how to win, and wins it."

That is the kind of person I would say you are, Gnar. Prickness aside, I wish you the best of lucks. We may have started with the wrong foot but, who does not? I do not think I have ever had anyone starting with the right foot with me, mostly due to the incredible and gigantic ratio of prickness, sarcasm, irony and cynicism I transport towards my eloquent discourse. You are a fine lad, Gnar. It takes guts and bravery to do the kind of job you do ---sidejoke: If you find a neat mine, pack it, wrap it and send it my way. I'd be glad to land it somewhere else and create a work of art out of squashed brains and uncanny broken bodies, flooding with blood, the sacrilege of their human presence. (Wait,..what..?) ---My thoughts exactly. I truly wish you the best of the best.

If ordinary pictures say a thousand words, works of art like this truly speak volumes.

You go beyond many of my expectations. Thank you Nate, truly.

My desktop background rotates every 30 minutes. I would like to have one of your pieces in good size as one of my rotating backgrounds.

Ouch.

No idea. Better larger than smaller as it can be scaled.

Would a 4000x4000 300px suffice? If I am not mistaken, that would be something like a midsize between the A4 and A3.

Work In Progress

I have a special affection for the people of this community, and thus, I have decided to give five prints of the above piece away. You, person interested, will be responsible for paying the shipping costs. I, the creator, will be responsible for paying the print. They will be printed onto a A3/A2 size-format canvas-board. The prince range can go from £50 to £150, depending on the quality of the paper, and its fibre calibration. I'll have to look into it carefully, so I don't end up wasting £1000 on give-aways to some e-friends overseas :) Will keep you updated as far as the piece goes, considering I am not yet taking it as a finalised piece. Do not expect this to happen any sooner than a couple of months, at least.

Yours sincerely,

It looks alright. Keep an eye on the character leg's proportions and perspective, as that seems to be the biggest of your flaw. Good work, otherwise. I've always been in love for Dragon Ball characters, and this sure reminded me of very slick times as a kid.

Just a little practice.
