To extend on what Killaman said, the server probably generates a random password that's then sent to the Assist master server. When a player joins, the player is authenticated and sent that password to be able to join the server.

I tried adding a dusk kinda feel but instead went with more fog and a gradient for the sky so it will be easier to see people. It's a lot more blended now.

You can set it in the .ini to make it so that it only shows death messages, not hits or flashes.

I could but it would be a bit difficult and would have to be done when the map is 100% finished, otherwise I would be going around adding/changing/fixing bugs on 2 copies.

I see it in the server list now. It looks like it's stuck in a loop. It's like it never replies to the game's request for a player to join. It seems like Assist is running fine, nothing odd.

I have no idea. I only have 2 slots on the map right now, just for testing. I'm not sure what weapons to give. I'm open to suggestions.

Windows doesn't degrade over time by itself. All issues are either user or hardware-caused. 3rd party drivers and stuff make things more complicated. I had an issue where I couldn't use my Logitech webcam, it just showed a grey screen. Uninstalled and re-installed the software, performed wipes that was recommended by Logitech but what fixed it, a re-install. Even after everything is re-installed, it still works.

Anyway, I'm glad you got it working again. At least you don't have hardware issues :)

Most everybody knows that since the AA devs shut down the servers, we are now in control. We have the ability to do things now that weren't possible before. We can push changes to all of the servers and all of the players. Updates, modifications and custom maps. We have tossed a few ideas around in the past but have never had an official poll to see whether or not the community would like a feature update or not.

We have started the first official poll; Digital Camo Update:

Please note that this is just a poll, it doesn't mean things will change tomorrow. If enough people say yes and the dev team has time to implement it, we will do it.
