No, I wasn't. My point still stands, even if AA locks FPS to 90 in online mode, there's no point to unlock it past that because YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET ANYTHING ABOVE 60 FPS UNLESS YOUR MONITOR IS A 120HZ TV! MOST LCD MONITORS DISPLAY 60HZ AT THEIR NATIVE RESOLUTION THUS THEY CAN ONLY HANDLE 60FPS. HZ = PER SECOND, FPS = PER SECOND. DO THE MATH.

Tards.

Hardware/Software / What Makes an Excellent Sound Card?

Attention:
For those seeking real legitimate advice, don't follow the words of guily. Most of the stuff he says is misinformation or just plain bullshit. This is not my opinion, this is fact that several people agree with.

Yeah but the new Creative sound cards, have finally pretty good quality components, so it's one of the best sound cards out there...
Keep Cool

I doubt any Creative cards have decent components. Maybe the Auzentech X-Fi or Xonar cards but even then, if you really know about audio, those are just lower middle class. Here's a real "sound card": http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/NFB12/NFB12EN.htm

sorta right and wrong unreal engine caps fps in "online mode" to a max of 90

Which is more than anybody playing AA would need.

The game doesn't cap FPS. If you're going more than 60, you aren't getting any benefit.

I think the most important thing is that the length and diameter of the intake stays the same. Thinking about it more, I don't imagine different filters will do much for you and if it's a matter of cost, foam should be good enough. Does the scooter have an oil filter?

That's a lot of plastic. Looks like it would be a good candidate for sticking a foam filter in there. I would say if you can find another paper one for cheap, go for it.

It's in another thread. I cleared that ban when I unbanned this guy.

Really? How about eBay? A lot of filters fit a lot of models. You could try just removing the paper filter completely and adding a piece of stiff foam, that should be easy to find. Ultimately, you won't know until you try it :)

I think he tried to set it at a lower resolution so he could play with better FPS. Maybe he set it lower and now can't change it back. I dunno.

So, 1280x1024 is the lowest but you can't play on that due to FPS? You could get a little better GPU. I'm running a 8600GT now and played BFBC2 on medium settings at that resolution and it was playable.

Well since the kick is only sometimes bannable, it's also a very old method of hacking, and since Hackhunter didn't catch him for no recoil or some other hack, I think we can unban and put him on the watchlist.

CRY must go to the settings tab in Assist and click "Reset + Repair AA" in order to prevent kicks in the future.

Hmmm, I had always thought that while foam is easy to use and replace, paper gives better performance. I mean, you see a lot of older engines use foam (and some newish ones use a foam pre-filter) but most modern ones are just paper filter. Personally, I've looked into it and thought about it a lot for my Honda and I've come to the conclusion that the manufacturers designed the intake and exhaust systems to have a certain restriction and flow to get the best performance out of the engine. If you start changing things, carb adjustments may be required at the very least.

I have that X6, it's a real nice improvement over a quad core (especially a quad core hyperthreading Intel, 4 real cores, 4 fake cores). AMD is budget but there's plenty of performance to be had with that chip. It overclocks great too, real worthwhile if you get the FSB up past 2600MHz.

I had CRY do a HDTune hard drive health check to see if his hard drive is corrupting files. It's not.

What do you guys think about having him re-install and putting him on a watchlist. It's such an old method of hacking and he didn't get caught for hacking, he got caught for a MD5 mismatch which, although unlikely, could be something else.
