Yes of course. I have only onboard card, but these settings make me to hear nearly everything. Especially loudness equalization.
Edit: loudness equalization is different setting than equalizator. And using equalizer with it makes it even better.

Oh and btw, at least in win8.1 and 10 theres an option that can be als in 7, right click sound icon next to clock, playback settings, properties of your device, enhancements tab and tick loudness equalization. Maybe needs the exact driver for your sound card. That really changed my experience, with that and couple of other settings I hear everything.

Interesting. I use soundback, and it seems working (at least with stereo) or maybe its my sound settings that allow me to hear nearly everything like with winxp it used to be.

My servers run with 256 cachesizmegs with no problem. Also both maxtickrates are probably good to set to 64 (mine are higher and isnt causing problems)

I have no possibility for that. And I have servers running on the host and everything works well with them. I tried with both nat and bridged network setting on vm. So its pretty weird.

Telvenes, could you help me? How to set up networking with vmware? I use vmware player with xubuntu now. My aa server shows red X where ping should be. I tried to do port forwarding like I did with aa servers that run on the host now, but it doesnt work.

I tried to put aa server running on lubuntu and tried with xubuntu also on vmware. The problem is that red X in assist server list where ping should be and I tried different port forwarding settings but still couldnt get it to work.
Another thing is: how can I have more than one server on Linux? With Windows its pretty easy, I just change the process id in assist server manager and it actually creates a new executable per server with that number.
With Linux, its anyway more manual: I need to have two different size server-bin files, and I need to rename one to serverx. Which one anyway? The help file doesnt tell and I need to do it by trying because I forgot it after the first try.
Also it has many times now left out the system.7z packet, creates only empty file and I needed to download and extract it separately.
Well that serverx file and pid.. when I choose a pid, it doesnt show it up in task manager as the pid of serverx nor server-bin. How could I run then two servers? And how can I know which server is which? It doesnt even open any window when I click "start server" so without task manager I dont know if it even started anything or not.

For me it stopped when I ticked "full screen" in assist settings - video.
i thought I had full screen because it seemed so, but it was just windowed mode with my full resolution.
Also I run assist in admin mode. Have done it since I came back to aa, which was a bit more than one year ago. And after these things done, I experience no problems with disk error/pb errors.

D'oh, another problem. Assist server manager doesnt start the server.
EDIT: Ok its running but as totally background process. Next I would need to know in Linux how to run also second server (on windows it seems easy.)

where is the port closed or something..

It downloaded all packages and was at 11/11 when the error came. I downloaded the system.7z and that worked, no more error. Still I have one problem: Server manager doesnt show the server.
EDIT: I solved it. There was a .zip ld something, which included some files including aa25.ini. I found out that system folder didnt include that file, so I copied it there and now server manager shows the server.

I clicked "create server" and it downloaded the files. In the end part of downloading it said: "Exception of class NilClassException was not handled. Closing the program." or something like that. When I clicked ok, it closed server manager. I tried to restart it, same thing. There was in server0 folder a file called system, no system folder, and system.7z. I couldnt extract system.7z so I deleted that file plus system file and tried to start assist server manager, which worked. It didnt show "server0" at all, I clicked "create server" again and now its downloading the files.
Hopefully will work this time. What could be the problem?
EDIT: Downloaded again. While unpacking the last part, the error came. Also when I tried manually to extract files from system.7z in terminal with 7za. "error: cannot open file as archive."
