I called them 5 times in total and only the last guy was smart enough to ask a supervisor.

Merlin Nightguard needs to call, they didn't open them for everyone for some reason ...
Seems silly stuff to me, Unreal Tournament 2004, related mods and games (such as aa2) have been using pretty much the same ports for years and years..

Chances are some guy working for that provider company plays the game and Ganja pissed him off! xD

I just played with a player (Strzaleczka?), who kept complaining about "textures bug" and described the same thing like here, i.e. translucency through walls/floors, etc.

So maybe this is an issue that should be looked into by admins.

It's often related to hardware or driver issues. Each of those having these kind of "visual" issues should post a report with dxdiag system info, in-game screenshots would also be appreciated. You can find dxdiag info here.

It's not the first time I observe this annoying attitude of "let's discuss matters in our tiny forum community, take conclusions from it and extrapolate it to the whole player base".

Why is that so? He simply asked for someone using an old powerpc powered mac...

planty of time ?
go better make aa2 maps for pg.
What's the problem with that? He simply used some spare time to do what he likes the most...on a sidenote, custom maps as a whole on aapg are now kind of screwed because of a few issues (with sound I believe) introduced with the latest patch.
Some of the most known map makers temporarily stopped publishing because of that.

I'll send ya the link, are you here again with your huahuahua-away?
Lol, no I've dismissed the Huawei since a few weeks (you should've noticed as you haven't been banned by "mistake" anymore :p), but anyhow, is the video really visible for everyone?

Edit, nevermind, apparently I can't watch it in the mobile version  of youtube but the desktop one seems to work.

And its a nice video indeed, how did you animate the graphs? Is it an automated process?

If you mean a setting that every admin can choose, then yes, I agree. I always claimed that there can't be too much freedom in AA.

100 maps? Good. 200 servers? OK. 50 mods? Why not.

The amount of things to choose from should never be a problem. AA is not a MAC.

Pff. Back in 2.8.5 there was a public mission editor. God knows the amount of silly, unplayable and/or unstable maps I've seen published as "missions", just for the sake of having a mod, or simply even something different.

Anyhow, now that I think of it, aapg was initially made in a way that is similar in concept to what vanoke meant, basically the old beta highly rewarded anything teamwork related, from securing and reviving to spotting enemies and completing an objective. It wasn't necessarily a good way, but it surely helped new players and inexperienced ones. In the final release these features are not as prominent as before, and the game rewards more kills than teamwork. In return, its "satisfying" for veterans ego, and not as pleasing for newer players. In the end, its unfortunatly a matter of point of views.

Minus points...? Please elaborate why, I am curious about the reasoning behind it.
