Eliz was trying to port/make this game into 2.8 version, but I have not a lot of understanding why he did quit, i think he didn't have a lot of time and had his own business to do also there were problems with stuff that eliz couldn't manage to do. If you can code pm eliz if you want to help with anything.

I admit that the game will get bored eventually if AAO developers don't bring any fun, no matter how much you love this game but everything being normal all the time is not fun, regular and often used gameplay is getting bored. Like i said many times, same maps, new maps...(never get played) and same strategy will get bored, especially for old players. For new players it would be just beginning but once they going to get used to it, they will get bored, not going to say anything anymore on this thread:) I don't support to bring back mods, but I think the game should have another half of the side of being fun and normal.

There is a button called ''save'' or ''apply'', not sure since i haven't configured my settings for long time.

For windows 8.1 it doesn't work, nothing saves with this version, incase you have it, with windows 7 it should work perfectly and with windows 8. No idea about resolution, maybe one of the admins can answer you that.

Training has always been up in previous versions with the previous (original) devs. It shows and educates you with the process that you get in the real world army. It is example and regular training that new recruit would do, it is good for new players, they will know how to handle the gun before starting to play any server, they will know how to use movements and aim, so training I must say does teach newbies how to play. If you done training before January 2012 then you won't be required to do it all over again.
