There is no serious conversation in here to be found. Theres only "I think" which equates to zero.
Take a minute and say this out loud and let it soak in. If you still don't get it, say it to a mirror.

Really? were is it? Keep in mind that it used to be called global warming. Why did they chamge the name to climate change?

It's called a synonym. We have many in the English language.

Talking from experience, the users would throw a shit fit. Back when ELiZ first ported the SAI, there was a problem that only happened under certain conditions and it caused the game to crash. Over the course of a few days, many updates were put out to try and find the direction of the update. Users went berzerk, complaining about the amount of updates. They didn't really care that ELiZ was trying to fix a serious problem that caused the game to crash. Another problem was a lack of beta testers but we finally got enough people together to fix it.

Plus, as ELiZ was eluding to, each time there's an update, the game server usually lags behind the client for updates. This means that you open Assist, it updates but then half or more of the servers in the list are outdated and you can't join them. When the servers do finally update, they restart which kicks players out. ELiZ tries to do updates at a time with low player count but there's always somebody that gets hit.

I believe in God so I don't need to believe climate change or any other "science" nonsense.

IPS instead of TN panels, 120hz refresh rate and anti-flicker, i like that. But glossy screens? Depends on the use, i personally prefer matte screens. Working on a glossy screen with sun or lights coming right on it can be really annoying.
The anti-glare feature is a piece of plastic over the top of the screen and it reduces brightness and color quality as a side-effect.

I agree, I don't know that I could go glossy just for the sake of accuracy but it's something to think about.

4ms too slow for me

I highly doubt you'd notice it. They're more marketing tools anyway, there is no hardware testing standard for contrast ratios, latency or any of that. They say 2ms GTG, that's grey to grey which doesn't mean much. Independant reviews where people use tools to actually measure response times, ghosting, color accuracy and more mean a whole helluva lot more than what the manufacturer states.

Not to mention features like IPS panels, 120hz and up, anti-flicker, glossy screens and more are other things people often ignore.

Derp. MOTD is different than console. It would probably be an easy fix to add MOTD to the console font size changer. ELiZ would have to comment on that though.

If you got malware directly from SourceForge, you should submit a report and get the files removed from the site. I doubt you did though, it was probably just advertisements or malware already on your computer.

Anyway, that's where the files are hosted from, they have no malware. Once you download the .exe, you can change in the settings where you download the game from.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm done with it. You'll have to talk to Nick and see what kind of deal you can work out with him for hosting it.

I used to use WinRAR and WinZip but switched to 7-Zip and haven't looked back. It's simple and lean and compacts files better than either of the two. Plus you don't have to pay or hassle with pirating.

It's easy to do if you have a paid dev team with access to the source code. We have neither.
