I also advised you in a PM. Don't use WiFi, put a password on your WiFi and don't let other computers in the house download at full speed or stream videos while you play.

Assist isn't AA. Assist's servers are in a different location. Assist uses different login methods.

and hopefully get enough people together that any questions that would be pointed at Spanky could be answered by other people too.

First time I read this I thought it said "hopefully get enough people together to point questions at Spanky" just to spite me :D

It means he's better than other players because he's made sure that he's only played on tracked servers and played the way that gets you the most points.

I know that you don't like me, but hey...
 :P

Now now, that's not fair, I didn't have you in mind when I said that.

Getting rid of stat tracking would be a fantastic way to lose a lot of players.

Yea, the crappy ones.

There's a few torrents floating around, that's where I would get it.

So, I think I helped FPS on both mAAp Pipeline and my Forest map. After trying to debug the FPS issue on the almost empty Forest map, I have to conclude that it's the high-poly terrain that's causing FPS issues. So I searched the web and came across a variable in the TerrainInfo actor; TerrainSectorSize. I played with this variable and it seems changing it from the default 16 to 24 seems to give a few more FPS and stabilize certain areas. Am I delusional? Someone else should try this. I mean, if I can see a few FPS increase on this 256MB old video card... I wonder what it will do for better GPUs...

For AI, you CAN play against them but it's a pain in the ass using "summon" from the console to get such mediocre results:

I don't know if there's any advantage to upgrading to 2.8.5. There's less security, more hackers, probably less people as well. You'd have to talk on the AA forums about it though, Assist and AAO25 is strictly 2.5.

Just like i said before, AA will be a better place without tracker  ;)

I can easily make and maintain a user account system to replace Battletracker... Just saying.

I'm not going to tell you how to do something which is outlined in 4 separate easily-found places.

Good job coming here just to rage about a free product which has a workaround for the problem you have.

It's not our fault you don't have enough space on your default program installation drive. Documents and Settings (lol at you using Windows XP) was used for permission reasons. Super easy to move the installation to whatever medium you want.

BFBC2. Sure there was a lot of every man for himself but the majority of what I played and the more funner games were those where the whole team came together for a common goal. It was great teamwork and I was never on VoIP for any of it, it was just part of the attitude and the gameplay.

Good point Sergio. Veteran AA players shouldn't be making new accounts, if they do, they're retarded. New players should play on regular maps so they get the hang of things.

Code could be added to Assist to check if Honor is below 15 and if so, force it to 15. Should be pretty simple, in theory at least.

So all in all i may be one of the few players that dont like the mods and some of the changes that have taken place.

I'm with you 100%. Unfortunately, this is nothing new to Assist or AA. Those mods have been around for years and it slowly killed 2.5.

We have a discussion going in the moderator forums about having 3 groups of maps. Original maps, mAAp maps and ReVamped maps. Originals should remain unmodified (aside from fixing bugs/exploits), mAAps are new designs, ReVamped maps would be original maps with added player slots (Assist supports up to 30), random spawns, changed objectives and perhaps slight visual increases such as more detailed shadows or weather effects (snow falling on Bridge). Aside from those changes, ReVamped maps would be unchanged so the layout, environment and overall feel of the map wouldn't change.

Of course, this is just an idea that's being tossed around. It would mean a larger download but that's a small price to pay for more variety and a halfway decent chance of weening those whores off of boring maps that have been around for a decade.
