From discord I gather this is your current issue:


We managed to work this out in the end.
It turned our the issue was that that antivirus was blocking 25Assist.

The antivirus in this instance was Bitdefender.
Adding "master.dl.sourceforge.net" to exclusions fixed the issue.

I can tell you hadn't tried it before I asked. Because now the account appeared in the activation list.

News / We're still here! (plus minor updates regarding website)

Hey eveyone!

Just a reminder to all of you that we're still here.

And we've been seeing more activity due to (generally unfortunate) pandemic.

Small updates to the forums:
  • You'll notice there's the "Assist Account" tab on the top of the page now. This is where you get links to
    • Register a new account
    • Change account name
    • Reset account password
  • The above mentioned pages were made to all look alike
    • Previously they were different (some were more basic)
  • MacOS Catalina (and newer) does not support 32bit applications
    • Assist is a 32bit application and thus will not work on newer MacOS versions
      • Extremely unlikely to ever change
    • There's a message about this in the Downloads menu
      • You'll need to hover over either the link or the 'Check OS compatibility' message to see the full explenation

There have been so many people going through Americas army in the (nearly) 2 decades since then. So unless you have contact information for them, I'm afraid it'll be rather unlikely that you'll be able to find someone specific from that era.

But you're welcome to join the game and play with the player who are still here :)

Is PnkBstrB.exe running? Check Task Manager.

You can try and add an exception to it on the firewall. (I forgot how to do this, specifically, since I've switched to using Ubuntu years ago)

To be honest, we're not processing honor requests anymore. There's no way to gain it regularly anyway.

We cannot control changes to your IP address. That's up to you (if you connect to a different network, i.e to your mobile data) and your ISP.

Generally, your ISP doesn't change your IP all that often. So you'll just have to close Assist, wait a few minutes and try again.

There is nobody that is working on maps at this point in time.
This won't be changed in the foreseeable future.

And no, ELiZ is not active. He's not posted since the end of January 2017. While he was on the site once or twice last year, he's not active in any way.
