General Chat / Re: The America's Army 2.5 Assist Event Calendar!
« on: Friday, May 15, 2015, 16:49:49 PM »
Good initiative. Although, I'm wondering if we should use a more... open calendar. Something regular Assist/AAO25 admins can use. We already have a Google account for YouTube and such, setting up a public Google Calendar is easy and I can set it up to be displayed on AAO25. I know this shoots down your idea and work but honestly, this is the first time I've seen interest in getting things organized.

Happens automatically, within a half hour usually. Check your e-mail.

It's a lot of work to get the glass to function properly. You have to remove the glass, add a decomesh in it's place, set it up to be damageable, set the damaged mesh, add a glass shard emitter, link it to the decomesh and test it. Then you get to do that for each and every pane of glass, giving them all different names. Pretty tedious and a good reason why you don't see a lot of it in AA maps.

Forgive my rage-induced response. I wasn't calling YOU a tweaker/camper, I was just generalizing.

Actually using M203 grenade launcher is pretty OP in that map with instant kill from spawn to spawn and spawn to any of the other corners.

You can't spawn spam on there... there's 8 containers in the way. By the time you spend 4 seconds to move to a position to fire the 203, the enemy has already gotten there as well and is probably returning fire. It's a very quick map and I think any advantage with a 203 is outweighed by the barrage of bullets flying at you. It's pretty much a 1-shot 203 map.

It's more for the lulz, the 203 doesn't do much on that map. It's sometimes fun to peg someone when they're shooting at you though :)

Plus, keep in mind, I'm a lazy dev and I always copy playerstarts from other maps, so that's why there's a G. It's probably from Bridge or something.

Actually, one team has 3 Grenadier slots, the other has 2. The one that has 2 has them in further down FireTeams so they would be unlocked later. I just changed the FireTeams to be equal so the first one has 2 Riflemen, 1 AR and a G.

I'll be adding this to the Dev Dropbox so ELiZ can add it when convenient.

Whining sound tweakers. That's all the problem is. The sounds are nothing if you compare them to gunfire which is fucking loud if you've ever shot a gun. It's only annoying because they can't sound camp.

Don't set the priority to very low, it will mean EVERYTHING else on the computer will take priority. Set the AA server process to above normal.

As far as modifying services, check out BlackViper, he's got good registry tweaks. Then you can also run CCleaner and uninstall the factory bloatware and startup items.

Nasa says it and you think that is true. That ass holes never even landed on the moon.

Ok, I've suspected all along but now I gotta ask... are you for real? All your posts reek of trolling. If you are trolling, bravo, brilliant performance. If not... fuck I feel sorry for you. I never thought I'd meet someone this incredibly closed-minded and skeptical.

Anyone else feel like Vegeta is the bottleneck to having a reasonable discussion here?
