Honor Claims / Re: honor back

Read before posting:

http://aao25.com/honor-claims/honor-claims-read-before-posting/

They need proof of you having a higher honor.

This is you, right:
http://history.anticheatinc.com/aa2/accounthistory.php?guid=E4EB55733BD1B760B134D9128E872163

Usually  these say your honor, but I can't see it in your case unfortunately.

My resolution is 1680x1050, and this is what happens:

Sights are on and the center of the screen is about where the bullet hole is.

And this 1 without sights on.

So I guess I remembered it wrong - it  actually goes to the right and down, but the problem still remains the same.

I don't have the same bug offline though, it would seem.

General Chat / Re: AAO25 for Windows 8?
« on: Tuesday, November 13, 2012, 08:29:18 AM »
There's an update planned, but there's not telling when it will come right now and it's not even certain that it will support windows 8 when it comes out.

If you really want to play, you could double-boot your Windows 8 with Windows 7 (for example) and play AA on the Windows 7 installation.

I have that too. Haven't bothered to write about it.

I know there used to be a differentbut bugs with M9 zoom, where zooming sometimes only made you walk slow. I don't know which versions these bugs are in, but I don't remember ever berting this kind of zoom bugs on 2.8.5 , but now it seems to happen every time I have a pistol on assist. The sights load up in correct way at first, but then they immediately move to the left and to the down so it's not pointing at where the bullets fly, making it impossible to aim with sights on.

No problem! :) I just noticed he had about 1 million score (minus the ROE), knowing that ~1.8 million is max and at half those points one is at honor in the late 80s :)

mAAp Project / Re: MapFix2.8.5 v1.0 By ELiZ

Well it seems to me you're spending a HELL OF A LOT of time creating all these things!

This seems like a great tool, even though I won't use it as I don't make maps.

But what happens if the package existed in 2.8.5 and the map you're converting, but doesn't exist on 2.5 ? will it give an error or just leave it untouched?

Feedback & Suggestions / Re: Huge loading times...

Whatever it was is gone now.
The site was down a couple of days ago, so maybe when it was just getting up again, the server was more busy and that made it load slower. But then again it could have been your ISP doing something on their part that made it slower for some time, who knows.

But the best part is that it's loading up fast again I guess :)

Right now the site is run by pit-23 and he's from Poland so that's why it's hosted there.
For me the loading times are quite OK.

With that said, I know AA is America's Army so you'd like to have it in the US, but pit is the 1 who's putting in the effort to run the site, so it's his decision where he hosts it (plus I bet the donations put a limitation on how much it can cost).

I'll be guessing an admin will take another look at this and (unless I'm somehow mistaken) will realize you should have 86 honor.

It sounds to me that either your map files or your game in general is corrupted in some way. If that's the case you should try re-installing the game

But bear in mind that I am no expert on this field, so I could easily be wrong.

The way I read it, he has 1,027,481 score and 148,357 ROE, taking 1 from the other you get 1,027,481-148,357=863,838, which according to the point system you linked, corresponds to honor 86.

Thanks for getting it up and running again! :)

But what news are coming soon? News about why it was down or about something else?

General Chat / Re: Won't download
« on: Saturday, November 03, 2012, 11:17:37 AM »
I'm not sure if this is the problme, but:
Assist automatically downloads AA to this location: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\25Assist\ (on Win7) and it gives an error that might have been similar to that of yours (don't remember for sure) if there's not enough disc space on the C: drive.

If this is the case, then
Quote
QUESTION: Can I change the location where assist stores the game and data files?

ANSWER: Yes, If you want assist to store its data somewhere else create a folder called '25Assist' in the same place as your 25Assist.exe (and 25Assist Libs) and it will see and use that folder instead of its usual one. You can also MOVE your exising 25Assist from the location mentioned above the the new location.
So just move the 25assist.exe to some other drive that has sufficient space and follow the instructions.

Again, not sure if this is the exact problem you're facing, but I had this kind of a problem at first.

I still don't understand the logic behind restricting map list, if it's up to the teams to choose them.
I remember when TWL ladder admins said you could decide who wins a match playing chess if both teams agreed. This isn't a ladder, but I'm guessing as long as both teams agree, things can be arranged nobody ever has to know you played for example Pipeline instead of SF Recon ;)
