Bug Reports / Re: MD5 Mismatch
« on: Thursday, May 03, 2012, 19:38:06 PM »
I said this in the shoutbox and I guess one of you saw it.

If you guys are running the server with Assist, please do Reset + Repair AA in the Settings tab. Then restart the server.

If you are using the dedicated server, replace the file Antipoke.u with a new copy from your AA install. Then restart the server.

will be diferent files, but will allow u to join a server, basically that is what a demo do, just update aa-pbsv.cfg with the new pb md5 hash, its up to you guys, final file size will increase a bit.

Ahhhh okay. So when you add the md5 hash for the new package the demos work?

If it's only t-maps then we can try to conform it. Although all conform does is copy the binaries from the old package to the new package. The md5's are still different. I'm not sure it would work but I'll still try it.

The output from the GPF only indicates that the file is borked. Could malware be playing with various files? Does windows xp cause problems in assist if the user account is not administrator?

Actually I think that if the program does not change then it does not have maintenance issues. Essentially the program should eternally function.

The Assist program will do all the bookkeeping for you, there's no need to worry about it.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\25Assist\

Move the 25Assist folder to somewhere on your SSD.

It could be anything. I'd like that guy to come here and clarify. I hope he can just tell us what it is and not make a stupid story.

QUESTION: Can I change the location where assist stores the game and data files?

ANSWER: Yes, If you want assist to store its data somewhere else create a folder called '25Assist' in the same place as your 25Assist.exe (and 25Assist Libs) and it will see and use that folder instead of its usual one. You can also MOVE your exising 25Assist from the location mentioned above the the new location.

Just put the EXE and Libs folder on your SSD. Then make a folder called 25Assist. It will install to that location.

BTW there is no training.

It's easier to tell when someone is hacking now because there are only certain hacks left that can be used. And all of them are obvious to long time players.
