Do you believe in hell? You throw it about a lot. :)
You would not believe it so no point is there?

It's an expression, not a phrase that denotes belief.

I genuinely ask and you avoid answering, smooth.

They were linked by IP, that's why. I see it's 2 different computers and manually activated them both. Now get in-game! Hooah?

General Chat / Re: The ( unofficial ) America's Army 2.5 Assist Event Calendar!
« on: Monday, May 25, 2015, 12:04:03 PM »
To keep the discussion in this thread...

Yes, the Google Calendar here doesn't look as pretty as the events page you made, Mentalist. But there's a few reasons why I went with it;
- We already have a Google account.
- It's easy to use and convert times for.
- Easy to integrate into this site.

I wouldn't use an iframe going to your site. I know the Google Calendar uses one but I trust their security and uptime more than any other website, including this one.

So, what do we do? I could host your files here and integrate it into AAO25. But, you'd be relinquishing your control of files and database since I don't really feel comfortable granting FTP access. How do we come to a win-win?

The rule is one account per computer.

Problem is, some of us are too incompetent to think about stickies and location of important information :D

ELiZ is the only one that can fix the issue (sometimes it's not even up to him but the hoster). Complaining about it won't do anything, nor does asking for a backup system that would be complex and a royal pain to setup, if even possible. It's a free game being kept alive on life support by a couple of people, it's not life & death, just be patient and wait.

I don't know if anyone else remembers but when Jonny took the game down, we were scrambling to get it set back up with backups of the auth server. It wasn't until Jonny came back a few days later to help ELiZ get it setup on a new host and then even a few days after that that everything was working ok. There's custom commandline Linux stuff and things cobbled together to make it work. While ELiZ has worked to make it more reliable, I'd bet that it's still not as near good as it could be, especially if written in a modern and lean language. The problem is, we simply don't have the knowledge and people to undertake a rewrite. It's hard to find reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy people that will work for free.

Like Koden said, quite a few people around AA now have been around 10+ years. Some of them are almost 15 now.

The problem was only on 1 team, spawning in the lab. In the tight area, some playerstarts were on top of the counters but there isn't enough height for them to spawn so they fail. Then there was one playerstart right on top of the other. There was also an issue with missing playerstarts, both teams now have 13 slots with 4 slots per squad. Shouldn't be any more issues.

Oh, it's a religious thing? Well then...

Could it be that it's not Hollywood turning satanic but rather stepping away from religion as a whole? Hollywood is a beacon for all actors and film makers across the world, it's not a group of christians trying to make good movies. Being that it's a worldly environment, it's best to not cater to an ever-decreasing viewpoint that the majority of the world doesn't agree with.

If your sound works (you can hear things) then just play. XP was an odd time with custom drivers and hardware-only rendering... thankfully all that garbage nonsense is behind us. AA works fine, sounds are normal, just play, you don't need to tweak anything so you can hear across the map.

I see exactly what Nick sees, no 2.5 Assist support. Where does it say differently Merlin?
