For whoever else who is also having this problem:
For what we've figured out this happens when you try to re-install PB (I'm guessing some of the antipoke files (antipoke.u in particular I believe) are located on the sourceforge.net server) and you download a faulty version of it.
The way we got around it was having someone who can play send us their antipoke.ini and antipoke.u (antipoke.ini seemed to be the same size though, even though I didn't check it KB vs KB).
Why this may happen was (for me and IronMaiden) because of a fresh install of Windows I needed to re-install PB (basically I think I needed the PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe in the system32 folder and given permission to use the internet).
