I will watch it in the full, my mate, but for future reference:
Make it shorter. There's not a lot of people in the AA community that have enough time to watch 10 minutes of video of the guy they really don't know too well.

If it is out of assists control what about teddy's examples?
I think (or hope?) that he didn't read them.

In any case. I know that what Killa says, used to be the norm, but I guess it's not anymore as people can get their honor to their new account's if they loose track of their old ones. And I understand the reason too. BattleTracker has no means of recovering users at the moment (due to admins being MIA), so it's impossible to recover one's previous accounts.

So if I lose the keys to my car I'm entitled to a brand new car? Not the best example, but it gets the point across. The account isn't dead, it's still usable, he just lost the info for it. That's not AAO25's problem, it's his.
I Agree with your principle, KiLLaMaN, and I've seen this statement thrown around before, but unfortunately I do believe people have been getting honor from their "lost" accounts.

Some examples I found with a minute of looking:
http://aao25.com/honor-claims/honorclaim/
http://aao25.com/honor-claims/honor-claim-3250/
http://aao25.com/honor-claims/honor-claim-3245/

And by the way, if you lose the keys to your car, you will get a new key from the manufacturer (provided you can prove it's yours). This would be the case with BattleTracker also if the admins there would be active. If there were active admins they could definitely resend their old tracker accounts' (new?) password to people, provided they can definitively prove it's their account.

Check this thread out:

You need to provide proof of your previous honor.

the user.ini can only be edited by aa25assist, not directly be editing the file.
That's incorrect.

The only way I've ever edited it was directly.

I'm pretty sure the BT admins have not been around for like a year.

I know of only 1 mod there who still is active (frankof), but he's said that he can't help with clan passwords on threads there.

You don't have to get to your AA installation to edit your user.ini . Just open Assist, go to Settings and click "Edit User.ini"
It doesn't seem to have a search function, but you can just navigate to the correct area (it  shouldn't be hard) and edit your bindings there.

Alternatively you can solve it this way:

The problem probably is that you can't navigate to your XP's Application Data folder, because it's a hidden folder.
You have to make your hidden folders visible to be able to navigate to where Assist stores AA by default. To do so go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows/
And under your correct windows (you said XP), do as it tells you to.

Then once there, you have to go to System folder under armyops and there you can find and edit your user.ini for binds.

Wickid, it takes a long time for Assist to Check AA, because it checks that all the maps are correct at start.

I'd  recommend doing exactly what Assist is telling you to do. Close Assist, open it again and log in again.

If it doesn't work the first time, try it an other time (at least for me it usually works after 1 or 2 times).

If all that fails, you can do "Reset + Repair AA" under the Settings tab in Assist.

If that still fails, you can try to uninstall Assist and then reinstall it.

General Chat / Re: ban list
« on: Tuesday, March 05, 2013, 00:15:02 AM »
How about a built in feature inside assist that checks your graphic cards id. So if you ban him you can ban his graphic card id and he cannot login on the computer running with the same graphic card. If that is even possible. Just thinking out loud...
I'm pretty sure they already ban by HW ID, or am I wrong?

I know that once they're banned they can't play on the same PC with other accounts right away (unless they do certain changes to it).

As the name suggests, it's a bot. In other words, it's a cheat you download to be "better" at the game.

And since his FR is low I'm guessing he sucked at the game and thought he'd improve with help from a program, but was banned right after trying.

grizzly be quiet, you are ruining my theory
Sorry. I'm not saying your conclusion is incorrect. I'm not even saying it would be incorrect given a "correct" sample group, I'm just saying we can't rely on only those votes we have right now.

According to my statistic skills we can treat those thirty players who voted as representative group.
In order for statistics to "work" you need have a random selection of participants.
Forum users aren't really random from the whole game. Forum users are (mostly) the ones who want to change something or give their opinion on stuff related to the game.

I might be wrong of course, but I really don't think people who are fine with whatever is happening and don't have anything to complain about just come on the forums to chill.

Hardware/Software / Re: Screen missing blue color
« on: Sunday, March 03, 2013, 06:23:22 AM »
Now tried
PC-TV and still missing blue color.

I'm pretty sure its because of that windows update.
I mean the update which computer asks to do when you turn off your computer. As I pressed it, the 1 of 3 steps went fast (5min top), but the 2 of 3 was taking too long and I went to sleep, in the morning the computer was turned off and when I turned it on, the screen was missing blue color. So it can not be the cable nor the PC's plug as I didnt remove the cable from PC.
As for Windows updates taking a long time, I don't think that's really a problem. In my experience they sometimes just take a long time for no apparent reason (it's not like it says the ETA time when updating). But I've never had any problems as what you're describing with Windows updates.

If everything worked before the update and nothing was changed during it, it could be a faulty update (or something). But I really don't know if (or how) you can remove Windows updates other than formatting. Then again, there could be ways.

Also, if it really is a software problem, maybe try reverting to older video drivers instead of using the newest one, it might help. (although I do believe Windows doesn't update your graphics drivers in Windows update, but hey, who knows)
