General Chat / Re: Where do you work, or do you work?
« on: Friday, February 26, 2016, 11:19:12 AM »
I graduated in communication design back 7 years ago, I used to work for a sort of digital printing company between 2012 and 2014, it was a bit of a mix between a printing service for small&big publishing company needs, like Mondadori, for industrial companies needs like Whirlpool and such (instruction leaflets and such) and a service for anyone who wanted to self-publish 100/200/500 copies of their own crappy version of 50 shades of Grey...ok, maybe its over-exaggerated but that nails the overall quality. In that company I used to work in the pre-print, aswell as printing from to time on some Canon and Xerox machines (they had an Igen4), pretty much small format equipment. In the end I also ended up helping the guys in the binding and finishing line cause by late 2014 nearly 30 of about 50 employees were fired or not working there anymore. By then I left aswell, and switched through a few workplaces, at first a small shop (terrible experience) for one month, then moved back to my town and i worked for 3 months at a small company which had some fantastic large format digital printing equip. Unfortunately it was a temporary thing and by the summer it was over. As of now I'm working as a sort of basic worker in a packaging plant. It is still sort of temporary too, even if I was told there's a chance I can get taught to work on the line as way more than basic worker. I wouldn't mind putting my hands and eyes to understand about the technical bits.

Yea, warranty is a problem, since eventhough it is 12 months, you gotta ship it back to the seller and pay for this. So when its broken, besides dead on arrival, you gotta buy a new mice. Look at this shop. They advertise that its possible to register the razer product, so it is genuinehttp://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Razer-Deathadder-3500DPI-gaming-mouse-Brand-new-Fast-free-shipping-Without-Retail-packing/1346150494.html?spm=2114.010208.3.10.vHNTv4&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_7,searchweb201644_3_505_506_503_504_301_10020_502_10001_10002_10017_10010_10005_10006_10011_10003_10021_10004_10022_10009_10008_10018_10019,searchweb201560_1,searchweb1451318400_-1,searchweb1451318411_6451&btsid=35f2ff29-0273-46a4-becb-e85bea797c88
Well, at least it can be registered but I would still not buy there. I'm already going for a Mionix mouse.

But its one thing just clicking, it would be slower aiming at E. That would take it down a bit.
For a pad you mean? Yes, but it was aimed at people who might have had physical issues, and it was helping a great deal for that matter (e.g. if one can't fully open and close fingers properly). Of course being a pad it had no meaning of being faster in aiming than a mouse.

Did you checked the Chinese webshops as well ? Last time i checked the deathadder was about 22 euro's / 25 US Dollar. Ofc genuine
Hmm Chinese online resellers...why do I happen to think it seems shady stuff to say the least? :p I'm checking tho.
Edit: I checked on gearbest (I guess that was the name?) and prices seem lower at 45 $ but I wouldn't still buy stuff from the other side of the planet because of warranty (which kind of warranty does it have, Chinese, worldwide, etc? what happens if it breaks down? Do I have to pay shipping fees to it get back to them on my own?).

I've also noticed that Mionix itself sells the stuff from Sweden across Europe, with *free* shipping costs. And it ships with FedEx :) .

I got a max of 9 I think, but then I was only clicking. The reason I said 30 is because you said you'd do 20 in 2/3 seconds, which I thought would mean 20 in 0.666 seconds, but I suppose you meant 20 in 2-3 seconds.

And I do think the "regular" max would be somewhere around 7-8 per second.
Eheh, no of course I meant 2 or 3 seconds, which indeed translates in the figure around 6 to 7 clicks. But as I said, it depends on so many things...I reckon I just remember about an uber cool Xbox modified pad that was built to improve gameplay experience for people with physical issues, basically there was an additional bit of "lever" hardware on the back triggers to shorten reaction times. It was so good that it gathered to a much broader target. I don't remember the name, but I think it went on Kickstarter or such.

Nothing wrong with the G500
They dont sell it anymore, at least here I think. There's a g500s variant that costs about 100 euros, but that's too pricey. The mionix 7000 costs about 63 euros, shipping included (and it's reported to be nicely built, and perform great). The Kone Xtd is kind of pricey aswell, it is a great mouse no question asked, but I prefer something more understated.

Logitech M-U007 is the one I have now. All good, 2 extra buttons on the flank I'm not using for AA though
If it's a Logitech, it can't be bad (or at the very least, it can't be atrocious).

Yeah, for example http://cookie.riimu.net/speed/
I would like to see you (or anyone else really) do 30 clicks per second, though...
30 is not even possible, with a decent mouse, warm and (not tired) hands, maybe 6 or 7? I don't know, honestly.

It's something that a human can do. Something that doesn't require a computer's/machine's assistance.
This reminds me of when I used to play the old aapg beta, back in 2014. Back then the m14 (long barrel carbine) was almost good in close quartier combat as much as a shotgun, possibly much more precise because it didn't still had the precision cone drop that now makes it more realistic, and I was able to shoot it so fast (like, single-firing 20 bullets in 2/3 seconds to take down 5 or 6 enemies) that I got asked a couple times if I was using a macro ^^ all of that with an old Logitech m100 ^^ .

Oh, and btw, I think there are a few apps or online tools you can use to check your clickrate speed.

I've found out about this one, the Mionix Avior http://www.overclock.net/t/1469836/mionix-avior-7000-first-impressions-review

The name is funny, but it seems well built, which is what I like the most, and it has nicely curved shapes, with no sharp edges. Hmmm.

A firerate that's higher than usual will show up in the logs and get people caught, as far as I know. Recoil can be spotted and eventually gameplay can be recorded as a proof.

Also: http://www.amazon.com/ask/questions/Tx3M1Z0Q3MB2AHP/?

P.s. it also looks kind of lame to me. Typical over exaggerated gaming look...

I can sell you my magicmouse, it's shaped like a squeezed bun and once you roll your middle button it never stops rolling. Best gaming mouse everrr
Lel, apple stuff :D appreciated, but I prefer un-roll-full stuff xD

Well, I just bought Abyssus and have been very satisfied with it. If you're looking for a basic mouse then the Abyssus might be what you've been looking for. Sharp Razer quality with a nice appearance!
I do like the Abyssus a lot, but the lack of buttons is a fair bit of a drawback to me. I could and would definitely use the buttons to bind the buttons to various functions, it would be a great deal to be able to drop flashes/nades or spot enemies without having to use another key on the keyboard.

As the title says, so it is. My old Logitech m100 has come through years of work and games, but its now showing its age and basically, its not even tracking properly anymore.
So, I'm looking for a new one! I have seen a few reviews, and I'm oriented for a compact unit (I don't like bulky, heavy stuff). I've seen a few reviews about the main Razer/Steelseries models, and I can't decide between the Kana v2, the Sensei Raw (which seems to have build quality issues) and the Abyssus (which doesn't have sidebuttons, tho).

Any suggestions? I've also looked up the Deathadder btw, but its kind of pricey. Maybe ill be able to find some discount on Amazon.de, gotta check.
P.s. its kind of obvious I don't care about built-in macros and such stuff. I always used to play with very basic mice.
