Bug Reports / Re: [mAAp] Breakout
« on: Saturday, May 09, 2015, 14:14:34 PM »
It's a lot of work to get the glass to function properly. You have to remove the glass, add a decomesh in it's place, set it up to be damageable, set the damaged mesh, add a glass shard emitter, link it to the decomesh and test it. Then you get to do that for each and every pane of glass, giving them all different names. Pretty tedious and a good reason why you don't see a lot of it in AA maps.
Na, just skip the glass shatter emitters. Nobody would even notice. Then it's as easy to just copy-paste an already existing glass decomesh.

General Chat / Re: Where is Interdiction COOP?

Is there a reason we aren't playing 2.8.5?
The main reason is that 2.5 is the last version of AA to support OS X and linux and we wanted users of those operating systems to be able to play the game. Also, from what i understand there were also some difficulties trying to get assist to work with 2.8.5.

That is awesome!

So what are the differences between 2.5 and 2.8.5?
AA 2.8.5 runs on a newer version on the Unreal Engine 2. There are a bunch of gameplay changes too.

There is no co-op in AA 2.5. The AI simply doesn't exist in our current version of the editor. However, if I recall correctly Eliz is looking into trying to port the AI from 2.8.5 to 2.5.

Support / Re: How and Where to Create an Account To Play the 25Assist?
« on: Thursday, April 30, 2015, 14:48:54 PM »
http://battletracker.com/

Create a BT account and go to tracker settings and enter an AA playername. If the account isn't a second account it should be accepted automatically within 5-10 minutes.

Well I can't find any user with the name [PTF]Voodoo on battletracker and that's really the only thing I have to search by. Without the old BT account I can't update your honor. Can you remember any other name it could be?

Can I get a link to your current battletracker and the battletracker you can't access anymore?

What a joke Killaman now decides he wants to come in and have a serious conversation. Because He seems to think that he knows something on global warming/climate change. You have looked up a couple of on board siites that are slanted to the goverments agenda. heard about it all in school. You singed up aswell because the "scientists said so" Go and do some reasearch of your own and once you have a balenced view come back and tell us both sides until you know both sides go away and dont expect me to read that tripe until YOU know what your talking about.

This may just be the funniest thing I've read all week. Sounds like something that would be written on The Onion as it's too ridiculous for me to think that you actually believe in what you type.

I guess we're on climate change now? Not sure why people still deny it's a thing. It's quite humorous.
Here's some links that may interest you vegeta. I don't have to time to properly search into this but a quick search showed plenty of results for climate change support. Some of these are public and free articles. I do have access to many scientific articles from academic and professional peer reviewed journals but unfortunately a lot of them are behind a pay wall and I only have access to them from being a University of Michigan student so not able to link anything substantial. But if it's just the amount of people agreeing with climate change you want, take a look at all of these scientific articles. Sure you can actually read most of them, but the abstract describes what they're about.

I'll also give you an except from that last link

he 928 papers were divided into six categories: explicit endorsement of the consensus position, evaluation of impacts, mitigation proposals, methods, paleoclimate analysis, and rejection of the consensus position. Of all the papers, 75% fell into the first three categories, either explicitly or implicitly accepting the consensus view; 25% dealt with methods or paleoclimate, taking no position on current anthropogenic climate change. Remarkably, none of the papers disagreed with the consensus position.

Big Clan Day / Re: I'm considering to stop the Americanse BCD Server.
« on: Monday, April 20, 2015, 15:16:52 PM »
You have to understand that BCD in the U.S. is around 2pm EST and as early as 11am PST out on the West Coast. Not many people are going to be playing AA in the middle of the day on a weekend. The U.S. playerbase is already weak to begin with, an event in the middle of the day on a weekend is not going to get a very good turnout most of the time.

Dart Vader wakes you up in the morning? ^^
na, like I said, the thing sucks at keeping time. That's why it's on my desk and not by my bed. I have an alarm clock that actually works waking me up.

Yes, you will ... Difference between 4 and 1 ms can be seen with the naked eye - especially on dynamic image.
You might be able to notice it in a side by side comparison, but 99% of people wouldn't notice it if they bought another monitor to use. And again, it also depends on how they'r judging the time.

I have one of those as "family desktop" but for some reason the screen is always blurry and it's a real pain in the ass for the eyes. I hope you won't have the same problem ;)
You bought a 1440p monitor just for a family desktop? Seems a bit pricey just for a family PC.

Killa, there's a guy spying on you behind that screen! I think it's a sith lord or something.
You would be correct. It's a Lego Darth Vader alarm clock that is unsurprisingly bad at keeping the correct time for a $10 licensed alarm clock.

Is that eclipse?
Yup. I've been working my ass off on a project for my software engineering class that I decided to code in Java instead of C++. I prefer Java over C++ and Eclipse even over the $600 Visual Studio.
