Honor Claims / Re: User name and honor name claim
« on: Wednesday, October 30, 2013, 09:16:13 AM »
The admins here can't really change your information on Battletracker.com.
Provided the proof, they could reset your honor for the new account.

The admins on BattleTracker.com could, but I'm not sure if they will. I see you made the same topic there as well so all is good, but I'm not exactly sure how active the admin(s?) there are.
Homey's last post was at the end of August in there, but you could maybe try and PM or email him:

I hope this helps.

explain this maybe it's me being from usa playing on euro server, ping difference and all that, i rarely lag on euro server and use to playing on euro server, yes takes a bit more i understand that being in usa and all

my question is how some players can jump and before landing or seems like mid air get a hs on another player, now i have never adapted to jumping under fire b4 or crouching up & down repeatly which im sure is keybinded, but now after playn on assist i have been and yet able to jump and come down to complete it with a hs, maybe takes alot of practice??

enlighten me on that,
While you say you don't have noticeable lag on EU servers, it doesn't mean it doesn't affect your gameplay. It could still very well be, that with their ping at ~10*4=40 and yours at ~30*4=120 (for  example) in their screen they've already landed, when in yours they seem to still be in the air. As for shooting straight right after landing... I'm not accusing anyone, but I'm pretty sure it's easier if you have a dot on your physical screen. Plus of course a lot of practice to know when to start firing.

[/--/] I was doing my best to get the mic to work and play at the same time, but had no luck (and I still don't know how to fix it).[/--/]
Settings - Options - Capture .
Select "Voice Activation Detection"
But if it doesn't work, try fiddling with "Capture mode" and "Capture device" on the same page. I know I've had somewhat a problem with one of those in the past regarding my mic.

I hope to see you around, Anti. Do we still have a vent up as well? Seen talk about it on FB, but don't remember if it was still up or not.

All legit players have amazing frag rates in all maps ? and crazy kill numbers that don't add up ? in a noob account . This Game is fucking dead . Its ok for Players to having crazy kill numbers with black screen shots, and to kill everything on every map and say its ok its normal with black shots right? I seen OJ shoot ppl all around in 360 and hs 4 or 5 ppl at once almost thats good skills right? Idk maybe i should leave like I do and then come back to find out players get banned it happens every time  , OJ only averages one hour per day . Look at his map history a normal good player has bad maps not all maps are his good maps come the fuck on!
As others have stated and as I was trying to explain, he had the kills with his main account on tracker and then changed the account that was connected with that BT account. Before 2012 this could be done easily enough.

As for the cheating w/e, I don't believe I've seen him play so I can't really say anything about that. To me, those stats don't really say much, because as said, he's probably just playing for FR.
From the good old days, I remember this guy: http://battletracker.com/playerstats/aao/591582/-GuNNy%3B/
He just played for FR no matter what. If he had died more than twice in one session, he'd be gone. Back in that day, it was probably easier to find servers with a bunch of newcomers playing than nowadays, though.

look at his stats , The Numbers never lie ,he's a 47 honor with a Major General Rank , and his Kill/death on all maps are Ridiculous  . he's a toggler no admin no devs around he toggles,47 honor with over 75k kills
To be honest that doesn't tell you anything. Look at the hours he's played and the points he has. He obviously played his honor to 100 and then switched to his noob account (before Assist, of course), which accounts for the low honor.

I'm not sure how big an issue it is, but with one TS (especially from an other continent and with a lot of traffic, which is suggested) there might be issues with latency.

And I believe people just like things that are their own. Every clan wants their own server both in the game and TS. (not that it's an ideal world, but that's the world we seem to live in)

And I think some clans still use ventrilo as well? (not 100% sure about this anymore).

General Chat / Re: Poll majority
« on: Monday, October 28, 2013, 17:14:06 PM »
Well in a lot of organizations, 51% (or rather >50%) is considered enough to act.
However, there are often other things that need to happen. For example, sometimes you need to have have at least 2/3 of the people involved voting (which will never happen here I'm afraid) or sometimes you even need over 50% votes from the whole group that's involved.

All in all it's all about what's agreed upon beforehand.

But I do agree that the forum polls, to this day might have an inaccurate representation of the whole community, even though (as stated) those who don't bother coming here and voting probably just don't care enough.

I think someone mentioned integrating a poll to Assist, which could work well if implemented in a pleasant way (i.e not too pushy, yet still something everyone would notice).

News / Re: Change in policy concerning AutoHotKey

While I agree he sometimes brought up valuable ideas, it is in fact the manner in which he treated anyone who didn't agree with jim that was the major problem. Insulting anyone who disagrees just makes it look.like.he doesn't really have anything constructive to say (even if he does later on in the post). It's often the tone of the first thought in a post that puts a certain mood to the rest of it.

I've heard the best way to persuade somebody to agree with you is to think of what that person wants and focus on that. He should try that, it ought to work wonders.

Well sometimes it's more obvious than other times. For example I remember I saw a guy fire an M82 on a forceclass UA server and he had no recoil. With that weapon it's just so obvious.

That's true, but odds are you won't have that many times in a row at random.

Ultimately rules like that DO make sense - Spamming 203's on hosp is a huge advantage and its a poorly designed map to have allowed that to be possible. - and you broke the server rule. If you have an issue or claim you didnt see the rule...then go complain on their ts or forums and say sorry i didnt see the rule. Easy as that.
If you take the time to read what ganja wrote, you'd see he was looking for the rule about no early 203s, but the console said that there are no rules about it. However, the admin had said "no early nades" a few rounds ago to everyone who was there, but since he just joined, there's no way he could have seen that.

But I do agree that some rules like that make sense. Especially considering the realism aspect that this game was originally built on. If it's your first time in an area, you wouldn't know the exact time someone will be at west wing door (or where ever else) before you saw him. I mean sure, you have information about the area (map) and the enemy, but it will never be this precise.

Who from Estonia? (Don't know of many of us playing, that's all)

3404
The devs have previously tried to fix known bugs, but then people come and complain how they're "ruining" the original maps.

But if it doesn't change a whole lot, then the devs might do it, you just need to PM one of them the problem (probably with screenshots attached as well).

PS. was trying to post this like 6 hrs earlier, but had an error, but I cba to see if it's still relevant or not.

Speaking of which, is unR still alive? Scandii was/is apart of it, correct?

/Dan
unR isn't too alive anymore. At least not in AA2.5 . I know some of the guys are playing AAPG now (from the chats on FB). And yes, scandii was a part of unR, but he doesn't play AA anymore for as much as I know.

PS. I was in  unR as well ( [unR]Plitter ).
