New build is available in the original post, fresh out of the editor!

Yea, I had to distort the texture but it doesn't look horribly bad. It's not like we're selling mAAp and making a huge profit off of it. I honestly was just browsing Google Image results and came across that texture. I thought someone independent had made it. Never thought someone ripped it out of Half-Life and stuck it on the internet...

Sweet :) looking at those barrels my first thought was about Half life :D

I thought that too... now looking it up... it's the exact same texture -_-

Please don't hurt me Valve :(

Re-skinned a few things with "HD" textures:

I had an odd problem trying something similar. I tried Win8 and WinXP in VirtualBox to run the editor and the mouse acted like a joystick with constant movement on any position other than dead center. It might be issues with virtualization as this hasn't been reported before.

Sometimes I feel like the people in this community are only saying:

Except instead of saying "developers" they're saying "competitive".

Parallels is virtualization, I would wager that running Windows natively would give you more performance. To each their own though.

is it really that demanding? This game came out 8 years ago didnt it?

Yes it did. The problem is that Apple changed the architecture of their processors (PowerPC to Intel) in-between AA being released and Assist being made. The issue is that the PowerPC binary won't run (or run properly) on Mac's that have an Intel processor. The best way to play if you have an Intel/AMD processor is to install Windows. You'll get the most performance that way.

But don't play on a Mac unless it's a PowerPC.

I looked around but hardly scratched the surface. Mostly looked for seamless textures for terrain and walls and such but there are some that would be good for skinning meshes.

They nerfed them to the point where they were useless, which was stupid. There is no need to mess with the flashes. They work fine and have always worked fine. I'm not sure if they're even legally allowed to edit the game seeing as they didn't develop it.

A mod could change it but more UScript = more bloat and slower game. Only the old devs have the source and chances are really good that it won't be released.

Flashes won't be changed, there's too many things going against it.

Yes, yes, let's work on tweaking the flashes since all of us have so much combat experience and have used these many times. This will surely make 2.5 the best it could possibly be.
