You're right, I was in a hurry because I was going out to eat.
I would recommend you take your own advice, recently given to Mister on a Game Review, and only post when you have the time to do it fully, then.

I think he is full of himself. I think that he is in denial and ignoring the fact that half of his country wants change. I don't know whether he is saying that stuff for publicity or if he is actually that stupid.

I do not have the knowledge or political awareness to deem Ahmadinejad as either stupid, irresponsible, full of himself or even genius, for that matter. Neither have most of you, I would dare assume. Which brings to my concern the immediate and irrational judgements that you -whomever you may be- may be basing your opinions on. This is not to say said opinions should (or are!) being belittled or looked down upon. Do bear in mind however that, more often than otherwise, assumptions are but a shot in the dark.

Having that said, and taking into account his words on the current political situation, is it not remotely acceptable to deem capitalism as one of the possible causes to poverty? Every thing has a limitness to it. Nothing is ever endless. Same applies to politics and their consequent variants. Nowadays, politics have (and still are!) abstained from the most genuine and true cause of which a political-consensus was given birth to: To keep order and bring attendance to society needs. Politics now work under a reversed strategy. It is no longer we, society, that shape politics to our best interest but, rather, politics that shape society to better fit their masterplans. How ever they are doing it, they are doing it right under how noses, and by seemingly (and may I had, blindly) agreeing to it -through naturally living- we are strengthening their power and acting according to their desire, moreso then we would like to think, agree or accept to.

Yet...one may enquiry: Why do other politicians feel apathy towards his speeches? Why must they display such a level of arrogance as to deserting the assembly/room at which the speech is being given? I do not know. What I do know is that humans are, in general, reluctant to change. Especially when these changes may or may not concern, prejudice, inflict damage upon, pose a problem or privilege confront over conformism. To accept what Ahmadinejad speaks of is, for many, as much of a self-destructive act/via as it is for me to thrown random punches at someone I love. The damage inflicted may not affect me directly but, at some point, it will scathe my (conservative, may I add) plan of action and the financial enrichment that may or may not arise from it.

So; Is Ahmadinejad full of himself? Or better yet, is he any more full of himself than George Bush, Barack Obama, Nick Clegg, Gorman Brown or any other politician were/may be? Not necessarily. He might just put at use his bluntless more often than others would ever think of. Hitler, Mussolini, Salazar -and about any other dictator- those were full of themselves, on a scale far greater than the one we are capable of perceiving on our political system.

What exactly is your opinion? All I see in your post is mindless rant, several remarks to the ridiculous (self-conceived) speeches by Ahmadinejad and a slight defence of your nation.

The Lounge / Re: Why is the general IQ level of Headshot Community going down?
« on: Tuesday, September 21, 2010, 00:29:01 AM »
This thread is such a good example of what I meant by saying the community went bollocks as far as intelligence is concerned. Long live the few exceptions to this, though. They know who they are, I believe. But...it just hit me --There is nothing I can do to change this. Even when Headshot has been a second home to me, there are times when one most abstain from the feelings towards a certain thing and move on. Pitifully. But firmly.

I have said this many many many times: I am not smarter than you. I am not better than you. I have good things and bad things about myself. The only thing that makes me different than most is probably the kind of life I lead so far, the liberty and knowledge I have struggled to acquire and the thought I put to what I do. Ironically, I only get called "arrogant" by people who aren't used to my bluntness and straight-forwardness. I always live space for other's people opinions, and may or may you not believe, always consider those expressed opinions of yours, even when they make almost no sense to my sense of sense (redundancy loves me do!) -- It is for me to figure whether I want to actually discuss the validity of said argument/opinion or let it sit by. It's shown to be worthless. If you can't understand -mostly because you are too hardheaded to stay away from your quick, likely wrongful perceptions- what/how good I mean with my posts, then I might just be wasting my time, completely.

I, too, percept things wrongly, sometimes. Most of the times that I do, I force myself to re-read what needs re-reading and analyse until I can understand what truly is being siad, and not what my mind is reading.

People call me a prick because: 1) They either mean it as a joke  2) They are too lazy to understand more than what is obvious to them.

Then again...when did I claim to be an intelligent person myself?

Yes Killa, I am ridiculous and this topic was a joke on itself.

And I am Portuguese.

so that you as a thinking-individual, become better and more consistent.
I might have expressed it wrong. I wanted it to mean that becoming better and more consistent in a consequence, not an intention.

That is a selfish way of thinking, don't you think?
Yes, it is indeed. I agree.

I don't think the quality or intelligence of the site has gone down but if I had, I wouldn't have gone about it such an insulting way as you did. You could have brought it up lightly or better yet, done something about it like trying to start some debates or discussions about hot topics. You've posted one prior and got butthurt as you went too artistic/philosophical for the people here. I may be simple but I just think day in day out and don't have a need to go diving into the depths of the brain like you did in that post.

Call me arrogant and insulting, but for all I know, I have done tried my best to bring about interesting discussions. Be it in discussion simple subjects (Photography in BW and Colour) or matters of further depth in the horizons of humanity and so on. Yes, maybe this isn't the community to discuss about things. Maybe this is just a place for hanging about --I'd like to think this is for more than just hanging. That this serves a bigger purpose rather than just being a platform for socialize and hardware/game review. Headshot has so many fine gentleman in it; it just sounds like an awful waste, IMO.

As to the OP. Yes, could have went about it more lightly. I guess I am not tailed to being a suger-coated type of guy.
If I am such an annoyance to the lot of you, you can always go ahead and ban me.
Reserving my opinion and shutting my voice down is something I will not do, ever.

The thing is, an iPad isn't a Netbook/Laptop. Call it a SmartPad if you would like, but comparing it to a Laptop just sounds very unreasonable altogether.

With that said, I do think iPad is overpriced and has almost no practicability, unless you intend to sport your portfolio in it.

I didn't take it personally. If I did, I wouldn't have used irony to response back at it.

Do I need to use smileys to express myself?

I think there is a distinct line between intelligence and stupidity. Having said that, it is possible that Dann is being more intelligent than the others here. There is one flew in Dann's logic, though. He failed to provide proof that the overall intelligence level of this website is dwindling. Therefor, he might have made insinuation that remain to be false.

On the flip side, I think Dann is more intelligent than some people here.

The proof is lying down in this website. We used to have more compelling discussions at here, just go and check early discussions had on Headshot. These have not been had recently. Instead, hardware discussion and superficial game reviews (No, I am not talking necessarily about Pokémon) have taken over. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, from a neutral standpoint. In my eyes, however, this means people are less keen to enrich themselves. Furthermore, some comments, namely Killaman's latest on the AMD thread -relating to the iPad- is a perfect example of "lower IQ responses", to which I find no reason(s) as to why it should remain ignorant, or unjustified.

I am not more intelligent than others. If anything, I have put some more effort into enriching my intelectual, moreso than some people in this community. I have read philosophy, mythology, human psychology, conceptual reading, and so on. I put a lot of thinking into what I say, so that overtime, my saying become more consistent and relevant.

I'd say Dann is among the most intelligent here but among the most arrogant as well. Perhaps he's earned it through intelligence though.
I am not arrogant. Really, I am not. If you've ever spoken with me in real life, you'll understand this fully. What I am, though, is blunt and factual. I have pleasure discussing things to a meniscus level most don't bother to get at. It may be due to my level of perfectionism, or attempt at -or it may just be my nature. Either way, if there is something that makes little to no sense in one's argument, and I believe to have the facts/reasoning to counter it, I will take that chance to not only contradict your thoughts/opinions, but to eventually make you understand some more thought can possibly be in order, so that you as a thinking-individual, become better and more consistent.

@Dann, I am a part of  the headshot community so anything said about it applies to me  as well unless stated otherwise.

True. As it applies to me. Right? Good. It's good that we understand the concept of a "Community" equally.

They don't need to come up with anything good, if it has Apple on it, their fanboys will eat it up. Case and point, the iPad.

Traditional PC-fanboy argument. Where are the facts?

I know I'm being a prick but I couldn't help but say it.

Prick's definition: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/prick

My post was pure irony. Is that not as obvious as to make your response out of context?
