Feedback & Suggestions / Re: Rmx clan

Like I said before somewhere about 90% of players use macros, it does pisses me off, not because I cannot afford myself a mouse and use macro but it gives unfair advantage, with my current mouse i don't have a good chance in close combat against macro. I though macro was supposed to be disabled somehow because all these exploits makes them apparently better. Admins should disable it.
Admins can't 'disable' a macro that's run by a 3rd party software.
If hey can detect such a software, they can ban the individual.

And you saying 90% of people playing use macros is just a joke.

Sound in AA ain't an exploit, AA being the slow paste game it is, good sound has always been encouraged. The aao25 community has gotten this all wrong and this is the first time it's ever even been up for discussion, let alone mentioning "exploit" and sound in the same sentence.
Well seeing that the game was meant to be built as close to realism as possible while maintaining the ability to play it as a game in order to market the idea of joining the US Army, I highly doubt you were meant to hear all across the map.
Since it's not something you were meant to hear, I'd classify it as an exploit.
It's just my opinion.

But in any case, like discussed in various other threads, having a sound card is totally OK.

If they exist then you can try to log in to that battletracker account, but other than that there's nothing the admins here can do.

I can't find a username or a in-game name by that name on battletracker.
Which doesn't mean it doesn't exist. You might have changed your name.

The only thing I can find is the history page:
http://history.anticheatinc.com/aa2/index.php?searchtype=2&searchlimit=1&searchvalue=E5B535B945E6F08E5B4EABC9B49C4755
Which doesn't help much nowadays I believe.

That's exactly the reason why he isn't banned. We only ban on proof. You don't want anybody to be banned on a false accusation.

And that's why I think saying banning him would be unfair doesn't make sense.
The fact is he will not be banned without proof.

"my usual rant" goes out to the ones saying that soundcard gives you the same advantage as rapid fire / macros.
I'm not sure anyone is saying that they're the same advantages, but rather that they're both something that wasn't meant to be in the game.

But I agree, you can't compare the 2 in an adequate way.
Like Bart said, having a macro makes you do things in game that you yourself didn't do anything to trigger.
Sound, however, is never triggered by a person themselves (well it's a side effect of actions, but you don't have to press an extra button for it). How a specific sound card processes sound makes it 'good' or 'bad' for exploiting the sound in this game.
Those are both advantages, but they're completely different.
In one you fire faster (or reduce recoil I guess), in the other you hear where the enemy is. You're supposed to hear the enemy close to you (granted not as accurately as some of the cards here allow), but you're not supposed to fire faster than you can move your fingers.

For Teddy: Nobody said that.
Well then I don't really see a point to this thread.
I'm pretty sure if this guy will be banned, it won't be because of a 'mouse'. If Sergio is going to ban him, he will have the proof. Whether or not he can share that proof depends on the proof.

Well if they do, they're on Battletracker.com .
But it's incredibly hard to search for it if you don't give any information about it. What was your username on this other account? What was your in-game name on this other account?

And even then, I'm pretty sure you'd only get a higher honor if the current honor on the other account was higher than the one you have right now. I'm pretty sure nobody will add up your points.

I haven't seen it said by an admin anywhere that this guy is banned? Or did I miss it?

« on: Tuesday, February 04, 2014, 04:00:31 AM »
I'm pretty sure automatic force-class servers don't give you any points, but if you just forceclass yourself on some rounds (i.e the scripts), you still get some points.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure you can't merge honors in such a way, especially since you don't have any proof.

Soundcard in AA doesn't do shit for you without mapknowledge and skill, knowing what direction the enemy is coming from don't do you any good if you don't know the layout from which he will pop up in, behind a wall, car or out in the open. What kind of rug is placed on the floor on which partion of the map. Your arguments about sound being unfair is outdated, wrong and totally based on your own understanding on the game, which obviously is none. More bullets / second versus sound, if you pick sound being just as unfair. Disconnect from life.
I'm pretty sure almost everyone who's playing this game today has enough map knowledge on the maps they play (which usually is 2-3 maps), to gain a substantial advantaged from a good soundcard.

And I'm not exactly sure who you're talking to in this paragraph, but it sure looks a lot like your usual rants.

If he's linked to an account with a recent ban, that's evidence enough.

I think what Vanoke was trying to say was that it's hard to access the site from a mobile device (such as a phone and/or a tablet).

He's saying the site doesn't load on the first try on mobile devices and that it works OK on the second.

Seeing the layout it's entirely possible that a phone with a low resolution would have a hard time loading up the page, but I can't verify as I've yet to try that.

I'm not 100% sure Sergio said he's banned or will be banned in the near future.

It looks to me he said he's definitely doing something, but it's unclear as to what it is at this moment, and that in all fairness he should be banned.
He said he's exploiting the game, nothing about a mouse.

Believe me if I tell you:
Sergio will NEVER ban anyone just because everyone's 'crying' about that person.

Well that's the only password he could have used.
