Anti-Cheat / Re: GUID's
« on: Wednesday, February 12, 2014, 17:49:28 PM »
Hello,

One of the 'older' cheats was a name spoofer, so GUID's were important.

Just trying to get my head around how things are done in Assist and how they can/could be done.

ELiZ, I know your work and have been in awe of it for years. Is there some way of supporting the original GUID's, if they can be found? I know this won't work for new players unless there is some way of generating them. I am looking at this from the older systems point of view with streaming logs and such that relied on the unique GUID's allocated to a player.

Steve

I'm pretty sure it's next to impossible to bring back the old GUID system.

However, it should be possible to generate Unique ID's for each user.

General Chat / Re: WTH Did u guys do to the EU servers?

It's hacks, all hacks.

Or maybe magic?

In any case, be glad you can play well on EU servers! :)
I know I still lag quite considerably on US servers, but that's only because I'm from the eastern part Europe.

I think the other day we played you had like a ping of ~30? or was it even less? I remember you being hyper about it though :)

you have to do  'playerlock 0' to move just like in normal AA.

Use the mpcheat classes to spawn weapons. If you wanted to get a rifle type 'mpcheat class r'
I still can't believe everyone wants to 'mpcheat' (meaning Multiplayer Cheat) in an offline (i.e Single Player) game.
You can just write 'class r' and you're good to go.

In order to play offline you can just open armyops.exe at your AA install location. Then load the map the same way it was done years ago.
If you don't know where AA is installed, read Assist's README (HELP tab in Assist).

Welcome!

You will probably not recognize most of the people here as a lot of us are European.

But welcome back and happy fragging none the less! :)

It is. We all are huge addicts.
Well that's why we do regular (or semi-regular) AA :D

I think I got the rest done.  How long before it takes?  So I can play using SadSack[STT]
What do you mean?
If you could log in to your account, you're good to go.
Like Sergio said, you might want to change your username on Battletracker to something without a space in it, but after that you can go ahead and play.

I remember playing EcK tournaments. Fun little 1 day things that us ( -v3.) would almost always win lol. Had some odd rules, but it was still fun :)

Jezuz, only now i realize i have 4100 hours on my main BT, and i have like 8 others, plus the hours spent on scrims and wars that didn't track back in the days :/
I think I have around 3000 hrs total as well... kind of sad to be honest.

So you managed to log into your old account then?
If that's the case, then you can just play with that one, it already has your honor at 68 and all the trainings are done on that account.

How many of you actually remember him?
Was the biggest AA whore :P
BEER.GCOOL

He wasn't the BIGGEST AA whore, for example:
http://battletracker.com/playerstats/aao/255656/Lorico/

But variety is  pretty good :)
Although, I know of players who just played for their rank, this one for example:
http://battletracker.com/playerstats/aao/591582/-GuNNy%3B/

But I agree, he was pretty well known. Saw him a lot all over (along with other #BEER# members) back in the day :)

If you create a new account, you will have to do the training.

I'm pretty sure you're mistaken, Spanky.
You see, I know Merlin isn't playing right now, but when I clicked on his link it forwarded me to his BT. It works OK.

But to make it work better than just 'OK', we would need the players to specify their BT ID so that we could then always link to that one.

Can't help that as users don't have the their updated/current names in there.
That's why I thought it would be cool if you could enter your BT ID.

I think TesterKB is a bot, posting the same picture in 2 topics (probably advertising)!
