Ban Appeals / Re: Macro Usage BANNED
« on: Monday, March 28, 2016, 15:54:27 PM »
Don't create copies of the same thread. Anyhow, you've been given a temporary ban that lasted a week (between march 3rd and march 10th I believe), now you should be able to create a new account on Battletracker. The old one will stay banned.

You're always going to get low FPS on a laptop unless you're buying an expensive ass gaming laptop
No. Depending on which game we're talking about, you can play on laptops...I play aapg on a 2011 Samsung rf511 laptop (it had a beefy CPU, but everything else is average to scrappy, including the screen which is sort of poor). The real issue on laptops as always is how heat is dissipated, and whether or not the psu will properly cope to the load.

There are also some 3rd party tools that disable part of the rendering "features"(I think some used them in the past to deal with the early netbooks lack of power), so to speak, such as lighting or textures, but aside of the game looking crappy, tools such as that won't be allowed by Punkbuster.

But actually, even my old Asus netbook I had several years ago was nearly able to run AA2 somehow, so I bet you guys must be running on truly ancient hardware or either have a lot of bloatware running in the background aswell...

Laptop specs? Also a list of the processes you ran in the background could be useful (take a screen of the task manager). Typically most laptop from known brands (Acer, Asus, Hp, Samsung, you name it) come with loads and loads of bloatware installed that runs in the background and will slow down any system.

Changing RenderDevice gave me CE, but other settings allowed me to have green fps ( with highest graphic settings and shitload of applications open in background ) in District as well, normally I have there about 30-40, now 50-60 :)
I don't get it, people spend thousand of dollars on bitten apples? Id expect my apple to be pristine for that kind of money :D

It would have to be it's own game. The UE4 Engine is free for now and has quite a few templates built in to start with.

Their model seems to be paying for content ( meshes, textures, blueprints ) vs paying for the engine. A full blown game is way above my head but getting the maps and resources into UE4 is not.
Its not a bad model, you can find proper assets around ( the crytek humble bundle happens to be still live https://www.humblebundle.com/cryengine-bundle ). I personally rather see a mission with a daylight setting rather than one such as Mt. McKenna ported to a more modern engine, but its just my opinion.

I've been talking to this guy on Facebook. Long story short, he's porting MOUT McKenna to UE4.
Oh, that's positive...but which game is he porting it for?

Ah okay and thank you, then without bots and back to the roots...
 :D

Well, there are about 70 maps to choose from, plenty of custom made maps and AA3 ports were added, there's definatly some variety in the missions list.

I'm also trying to find out if there are coop-servers to fight against bots, etc
Nope, there are not, the game version supported around here is the 2.5 one. You might find a few guys playing 2.8.5 coop maps on servers listed at Chevy's Place or BusGang.

News / Re: Vote for your favorite splash screen!
« on: Monday, March 21, 2016, 20:33:35 PM »
How in the hell could FireEagle* win, if Vanoke has 1613 (62.8%) votes???

Funny attempt of yours :D check Spanky's post and tell me if its reasonably possible that, according to what you imply, 2500 users voted in about 2 days.
Does anyone have any objections of me resetting the poll to only have FireEagle 1 & 2 options? We all know Bendawich's splash is just silly and that means that only 7 of the 56 votes are for splashes aside from FireEagles. We all know he's going to win, it's just a matter of which one wins.

And btw:
Ever since we introduced polls into Assist, we always thought there was something fishy with the results. Looking into the code, I believe I found the problem and tested it to make sure. With this issue now fixed, I have put up a few polls for people to vote in. Check out the Polls tab in Assist to vote on a few ideas we are throwing around.

Please post here if you run into any issues.

There are only good reasons to visit Lisbon, it's safe, not very pricey, the food  but most of all the weather is fantastic.
And girls are nice and cool, too! :D

Whats the story with Wiki can you go in and edit pages? Heard this before not sure if its correct and to lazy to look. If someone knows please give us a little run down.
Ever heard about Wikipedia? The key word is responsibility of course, and edits have to be approved before being published, I believe.

Moved your post to the original news article so you can easily read and eventually follow the thread.

Our country's alcohol politics is maybe one of the most fucked up ones in world wide lol. The state owns a monopoly what comes to selling stronger stuff than 4,7%, so basically you can buy real beers, wines and booze only from one company's shops, wines and stronger beers can't be released to be sold in grocery stores or microbreweries are not allowed to sell their own products because it would be too easy for citizens to buy the stuff and they would become alcoholics. Yet those stores from where you can buy stronger stuff are always next to basic grocery store. So the key to avoid alcohol problems here is to keep a wall between groceries and booze and of course they need to have different cashiers. If the wall would be removed and those cashiers would be merged, would the whole country become alcoholic......

In here you can't buy alcohol from stores before 9am or after 9pm. Now I saw a article which said that this store owned by the state of Finland will release online store from whic is open 24/7 and  from where you can buy booze easier, another company owned by the state will deliver the product to your door. The whole alcohol law is made to protect the fucked up monopoly the state has. And besides the monopoly, we also have high taxes in alcohol and also high VAT. Shops are not allowed to set sale prices for beers, they are forced to sell the product by it's single piece price, so when one 0,33l can of beer costs 0,99€ will 24case cost 24x0,99€ = 23,76€. It's so fucked up that our government believes ( read: claims to protect the monopoly ) that alcoholism in Finland is a result of availability of alcohol. Some of the congressmen has spoke about taking beers out from grocery stores to be sold in this monopoly shop. Could it be that alcoholism in here is a result of outcasting, loneliness, despair, depression and the high level of unemployment...
Result of "availability of alcohol" sounds a lot like prohibitionism, that didn't help the US back then and probably won't help Finland either. I honestly never thought Finland could be such a gloomy place before you described it as such.

That rule about small breweries seems nonsense, here you can buy local wine from most wineyards and several also have their town shop(s). Wine is certainly a different thing, but we got a huge amount of small brands and independent small vineyards, it does make for a nice variety.

And alcohol is sold nearly everywhere anyway, basically even the small market will have their selection of wine/beer on display (you wouldn't still want to buy the cheap wine they sell in these supermarkets, but you get the point).

My next big trip will be the Route 66 by motorcycle, have been saving for quite a while but since i love travelling it's hard to make that amount of money and not be able to travel, that's why it is taking more time than it should.

Koden you are probably talking about Er Boqueron.
Are you from US or from Europe?  And yap, that was Er Boqueron indeed.
