Kinda grave digging here, however this is something that interests me and I have been dedicating a small amount of effort (in-between work and recreational time) towards recreating a very primitive version of Battletracker for what remains of the 25Assist community.

So far I have been able to create an application to query a collection of gameservers at a regular interval and accurately track player statistics. There is obviously some limitations here as this is entirely separate from 25Assist.

For the time being, I am interacting with and visualizing data through a Discord bot and the Quickchart-js API.
A long term goal of mine would be to recreate a very rudimentary webapp similar to what Battletracker once was, however that entirely depends on my motivation and free time after work!.

Map Leaderboard (Fairly inaccurate due to limited dataset and myself not being a data scientist however I have been working on improving it ):


Theoretically I could also track player score and ROE however as in game honor is frozen I haven't put much effort into that, in addition to the fact that I do not know the formula to determine honor from score.

Best case scenario I will have a stable enough version of this to provide to server owners / players in the future, however we will see what happens. At this point I am most interested in the game retaining enough players to have some fun every night!.

Also, I have a few friends that plan trying to play Americas Army for a LAN night (For nostalgia purposes) and I am not sure how they would go about registering an account?.

Except for lacking a proper medic class at all (and a proper cooperative counterpart). But it's still an interesting game that runs really good on nearly every platform. Got to say, watching the video and listening to these sounds, makes for quite an impression Insurgency surely benefits a lot from these sounds.

It would be nice to have a medic class as AA does, however you win some you lose some. Insurgency simply is a lot close to what I had hoped AA3 would be, than what it was.. if that makes sense.

As well as continually updating the sound mod, I've been re texturing the insurgent models to *somewhat* resemble Opfor in AA2. They're not even close to perfect, unfortunately, but the similarities are there.

Thanks! My biggest issue at the moment is that I don't think Insurgency has indoor/outdoor gun sounds as AA does, which is slightly problematic. Also, there is a LOT more voice comms on Insurgency than AA, so it will be a mix of default radio/shouts and AA radio/shouts.

So yeah, I've been playing Insurgency and recently found out that Americas Army 2 still exists.. and such, I spent a few hours taking some classic AA sounds and adding them to a sound mod for Insurgency.. Here's a short little video of some game play.



I plan to continue to add more comm sounds for US and Opfor, as well as a few more weapon sounds and maaybe skins for coop and solo play.
