I stand corrected— you did indeed have an account from many years ago, albeit it with a slightly different username (low honor so it doesn't appear to have been played on much). In any case, I've activated your new account so you can hop in-game without having to fiddle with account recovery any further this evening.

I will go ahead and PM you the login name of your original account should you wish to use it for whatever reason.

I've manually resent the activation email to your registered email address. You should be able to copy and paste the URL in your browser should you not be able to click it directly.

Is there a security history (or something of the sort) that may display a list of applications blocked from executing?. You could try temporarily disabling Norton and seeing if the application will start. Alternatively, I'm sure there is a way to allow an application through Norton.

From what you've mentioned I would assume that is the likely culprit, but as I haven't used Norton in probably near twenty years, I can't offer much assistance apart from what I've suggested above.

Which version of Windows are you running?
Do you have an anti virus installed (apart from Windows Defender)? If so, are you able to check if the file is blocked from executing?
Check your event viewer for any errors that may be related.
Also try running the application in compatibility mode (Doubtful it would help, but worth a shot).

Hey, as the official auth servers shutdown some time ago you'll need to register a 25Assist account and download the client in order to download a copy of the game that will work with Assist.

If you haven't already done so, you can register an Assist (game) account here.

After doing so, sign into the client to begin the activation process. Once your account has been activated and you're signed into the client, the game will download via the client and you'll be able to connect to a game server.

News / Assist Emails Update

Hello everyone,

As you may be aware, we've encountered issues with email delivery, particularly affecting Gmail accounts (refer to Teddy's post here).

The good news is that we have resolved this issue. Gmail and other providers should now properly receive emails sent from aao25.com (such as password resets and forum registrations). However, these emails may still occasionally land in your spam folder, so be sure check there if you are expecting an email.

As always, if you're anticipating an email and it hasn't arrived, feel free to contact us on the forums or Discord.

As you may have noticed, some of you have recently experienced issues accessing the forums. The good news is that a fix has been implemented, and if you’re reading this, the forums should be working properly again.

Additionally, you should now be able to post messages to the shoutbox via the Assist website.

If you encounter any issues, unusual behavior, or unexpected problems that might be related to these changes, please reply to this thread so we can investigate.

Did you register an Assist account (here)? The account you use to login to the game is different than your forum account.

Also, ensure you are logging in with the username you registered, not your AA2 In-Game Name.
