Plus, a lot of  the settings that work for one player, don't work for another.

The settings that could affect your game include (but are not limited to):
graphics settings
key settings
sensitivity settings

And all of these vary with different equipment, not to mention different taste (in sensitivity for example).

If you play a lot and mess around a little with those settings, you will see what works best for you.

Oh, OK. I figured he had already tried that, but I might have been wrong, he might only have tried the setting in the options.

or you can type @ in-game console: SetRes 1440x900 and restart the game
Uhm, Possessed, that's his problem. It doesn't save it. Next time he starts up again, he needs to do it again.

Is this the one that had not kill messages and now ammo count and such? Coz an old AA buddy of mine told me to try that out, he said it was pretty neat. Haven't tried, though.

Maybe I'll even join in, I started playing again since 2 days ago ;)
Lies. I saw you play some time last week on Poolday (must have been the 21st as that's the last time I played apparently).

Assist Support / Re: The problem with battletracker.com
« on: Tuesday, March 25, 2014, 14:43:49 PM »
Try pinging it through cmd:
In windows 7 - press windows button and search for cmd.exe then  run it and type
'ping battletracker.com'
if that doesn't work, try
'ping 87.230.61.216' (which is what it tells me their IP should be)

You can also try tracing the route (in cmd)
'tracert battletracker.com' to see where the problem might be.

No this doesn't work, it still resets the keys every single time I quit the game. I guess you guys play with the standard mouse wheel for alt fire and Z for spotting since you don't notice this problem?
No.
I've modified my settings and they stay modified without a problem.

With windows 7 it doesn't work.

Unticking or ticking doesnt help, nothing helps, it has a mind of its own.
I'm sorry, I misread your post, I though you were saying you've done those things and they worked.

Well, all I can say is, I use windows 7 and it works for me. And I'm pretty sure most people here use Windows 7 (just a guess though).

So it must be something at your end.

I don't get them nowadays. I used to years ago when I used a simple email provider.

But I think gmail pretty much blocks most (if not all) of them, because I can't remember getting any after witching to gmail.

News / Re: Upcoming 8.11 update
« on: Monday, March 24, 2014, 19:19:44 PM »
By the way, the version on the front page is wrong again. It says 8.09, but we're on 8.11.

I know someone said that if it doesn't grab the version automatically, it should be removed, but I think as long as it's there, it should show the correct version.
It's still like this.

I wouldn't mind it taken down, but I don't like it being wrong. It might give people the impression that something's wrong (like they're downloading the wrong version of Assist or whatever).

I have win 7 and nothing works. I even edited the .inis and made them read only but the assist still forces the keybinds it wants.
Yes, that's what he said.
With windows 7 it works.
With windows 8 it doesn't.
