The 2.4.1 editor sucks. It would be best to have the 2.8 editor for AI and all that other updated good stuff. Course, I could use the 2.4.1 editor to import stuff and then convert it but ELiZ is always looking for a challenge :)

Believe they do, ask anyone who have one or check online tests.

Sure, they're faster than a platter drive but warranty period, reliability and speed compared to good quality drives it really isn't worth the hassle. You won't catch me buying a junky SSD. I'll stick with Crucial, Samsung and Intel. If you don't care about your data and time and want the cheapest piece of shit, be my guest.

Yes.. It would be able to convert the 2.5 mAAp maps to 2.8.5 if the community demands it.

Doubt they would demand it.

But... Since you're all hacking & reverse engineering things, the one big limitation for mapping on 2.8 is that you can't import stuff. The menu option might just be disabled or something in the editor. If you're bored, maybe check that out :)

Don't get the regular 840 series Samsung SSD. It's slower speed and lower quality memory chips. You only want the PRO version. Low-end SSD's aren't worth the bother IMO, you're better off getting a platter drive with better reliability and more storage.

Its funny we both had some similar ideas, access to the water tank balconys, and the security cameras. The one I made has a more modern look and feel to it, but your map is killer.

I do like the modern aspect of yours. I went for an old and run-down russian station just for a grungy atmosphere.

IMO, you could do more with yours, just don't expect anyone to play it. I ran my pipeline for a long time on a server I hosted and rarely anyone would join it. I offered to give admin and all that stuff. Anyway, go for some big differences. Change the lighting outside, move some objects. Change things up. Keep at it.

I don't stay up to date on SSDs like I do on CPUs and GPUs.

I'm just the opposite :)

Read the Readme/FAQ, it will tell you how to have multiple installations which is what you need.

Save the $$ on the SSD unless you go Intel or Samsung 840 PRO. The Crucial M4's are getting pretty old now and have easily 1/4 the write speed of the Samsungs.

I have no comments on Intel CPU's and modern GPU's.

Copy your install (covered in the FAQ) and change the ports in the settings. Personally, I just change the first number, i.e. 2716 2718.

I'd switch memory, get something a bit better than 1600MHz. The Intel chip can handle it and will benefit from it. This is $5 cheaper:

Also, that PSU isn't that great, especially for the price. It's Corsair's low end and you'll regret getting it down the road. Check this guy out for the same price:

5 year warranty, better efficiency and it will probably hold it's output power longer than the CX series.

I'd like to suggest a better hard drive but there's not much wrong with the Blue if it's the best you can afford. Of course, a Black or SSD would be better but again, it's about cost and demand for capacity which are things only you know.

The admins have every right to ban you. You're not being banned from the game, you're being banned from using Assist. You're free to play the game without Assist, there just won't be anyone else playing :) The admins own Assist and it's creator held the same opinion. Fuck around and abuse the program and you'll be banned.

The Lounge / Re: how to get rid of mouse macros

Just thought I would throw this out there;
Shooting your gun fast isn't limited by mouse lag or how fast you can press the button. It's limited by the mechanical system of the gun which is part of the realism that AA is built upon. mpcheat slomo .1 in the console and try to fire your gun while it's already firing your bullet. You'll still only get 1 shot off.

All these dipshits that like to push the boundaries of the game's features. There needs to be a zero tolerance policy. No tweaking, no AHK, no second accounts, nothing. You open the doors to a little visual tweak and people will always push the envelope to try and get an advantage.

It's a fucking free game, go out in the real world and make a difference you narrow-minded twats.

to be honest it looks nice, but nothing really changes inside?looks like the same entrances into the each room and only texture, objects changed? i mean any possibility to put more screen shots? would like to see it or even test it.

theres a lot more to the map then a short youtube clip shows, open assist and start a server with maap pipeline.
