I realized that with the MOS and the shotgun. When I ran across to Assault I tried 3 or 4 times to hit the guy before I compensated to the left for his movement and railed him.

My mouse is real twitchy so it makes fine movements tough. If I lower the DPI, it makes it hard to compensate for the breathing. I have no real problem in BFBC2 with sniping or any weapon but AA is unique.

But you see, I am a noob. I don't play enough to have built up skill.

sucks server owners can't do as they please with there server they are paying for

You can do whatever you want, including uninstalling Assist.

You're not paying for Assist, there is no contract and thus no right that you have to demand any features. You have no obligation to use it either. Assist was developed and is maintained by people for free and they can do what they want with it.

I think you're forgetting about what it used to be like when Pragmatic was running honor for Americas Army. There was an additional cost and it was easy to report servers for abuse and get servers shutdown or de-authorized. There is no cost now. The only thing Jonny asks is that you don't use mods that unbalance the game or destroy core gameplay. You're welcome to use those mods still but the honor will be disabled through HIS program. Right now, you're getting less harsh rules/consequences and not paying a dime compared to Pragmatic's system.

They were copypasta from another map and I couldn't find them again so I tried changing the size to an insanely large size. Guess that version was before I found them?

If you really want that AA2 survive in the future you need to have both severs with MOD and regular, both with honor. If you put a mapvote in next update you must make it possible to turn it off or else you kill this game. How hard is it to go to some other map??? On all maps I have play where mapvote is on, half the team leave and more ppl drop off after a few minutes. So what have you win with that?
If ppl cant handle servers with MOD why do they play there? Stop  :censored: cry and go to a regular map and play.

Gotta love people that use Assist and never come here to participate in discussions or request or even just be thankful. Especially the ones that come here just to bitch without knowing history or even a background story of what they're bitching about.

I'd like to request an exception for mapvote.u
It's majority player voting for servermaps when admin isn't on

I second this. This should be a core feature of the game, it has no influence on gameplay and means that better/larger servers can go where the players want them.

As for AA4, sure, those that have computers able to play it will go but there's no doubt that it will take more resources to play than AA not to mention, I'm sure the internet speed demand is higher.

A lot of people say new players like mods, but what new players are starting an 11 old game? I though this community was about keeping aa alive for old players who like the game as they have played it for years.

Also, if new players are being attracted by mods, they're playing the game for the wrong reasons. This isn't CounterStrike.

As an old man u should be more mature, you post count like an idiot, the modify button is for modifying  not for spamming and post count, jeez u old enough to be... oh wait u are not.

You can't modify posts in the news section. Bad forum permissions :)

Vanoke, mods are still allowed but you won't get stats tracked or honor :)

« on: Friday, July 05, 2013, 12:31:31 PM »
If you are updated and you see a server with "version mismatch" then the server hasn't completed updating yet. They may take up to 24 hours to complete if I remember right.

Frag video uploading... It's a chronological video with no kills/deaths removed.

Enjoy:

I guess as long as it provides joy, I could. Maybe add the over-used "let the bodies hit the floor" metal?

This is a great step Jonny. Probably one of the best updates to Assist in a long time (sorry ELiZ!). Ignore the haters, you did good on this one.

Did you ever figure out why it was sucking up so much FPS?

No but it's bound to be either terrain polys (which I won't do anything about) or the fog emitters (which I could fix semi-easily).

Found this, will give it a whirl.

I might be missing something but I don't think Jonny meant to have you limit cores. I think he just wanted you to open up the system monitor to see CPU usage while you're playing and get a screenshot to share.
