How can you say that playstation move is not an attempt to copy the wii remote? It does THE EXACT SAME THING. It looks almost identical, with two parts, one for aiming and the other for moving. I know move is legally distinct from the Wii remote but come on, Sony obviously got their idea from the Wii remote.

Copy copy copy. Who cares who did it first? What matters is implementation. Sony could make a crappier version or a much better version. If they can pull it off, PS3/4 might be the best console out.

Playstation Move is already out. There really is no difference between move and the Wii controller. We just need to see what games Sony will announce to support it. It would be pretty sick playing Killzone 3 with Move.

Maybe I am being a bit biased since I do not own a PS3....

Very nice shading but it just looks weird. Too tall, it's almost like he's stretched out (or is he like 9ft tall?).

I was thinking the same thing when I looked at it, but I already drew most of it so I just said "fuck it." I'm not very good at drawing in the first place. I was surprised at how decent this turned out.

EDIT: I did trim down the torso length by just making you able to see more of his legs. A simple fix I never really thought of doing. Updated.

Took me about 30 minutes to an hour to draw.

At least I wouldn't have to see it while using it.  ;D ;D

Sony is copying off of the wii, except their device looks uglier.

It uses the sphere to track the motion of the controller. It's supposed to change color to be most visible in the current environment.

I know why it is there, I just hate the look of it.

Hell, I'd pay an extra $70 to have them remove the sphere.

hahaha

I think we can all agree that the Wii's draw isn't graphics. I hope that PS3 Move will be successful in combining the draw of the Wii with the draw of the PS3.

I hate the look of the remote. It has a stupid sphere on the top that looks horrible. Plus, move costs $70. Kind of a lot of money just for motion controls.

Nice review, though I would amend your ranking of the graphics to 10-For a WII game. Because any ps3 title blows SMG2 out of the water.

Not really. Graphics aren't only about realistic textures and lighting and all that shit. Graphics also involves things such as art style, something Super Mario Galaxy does extremely well and better than most games on 360 and PS3.

I am just wondering if you have played the first one? This game is exactly the same as the first one.

I did beat the first one. I wouldn't say that is is exactly the same. in the first one you go to go around an areas to get to worlds. They made the system very linear in #2. It also feels like you have more freedom in the first one.

Game Reviews / Super Mario Galaxy 2
« on: Friday, September 24, 2010, 19:49:48 PM »

WARNING- I will be comparing this game to Super Mario 64, if you haven't played Super Mario 64 I suggest you get off this site and go buy it.

STORY
Who am I kidding? It is the same as every other Mario game. Princess gets kidnapped and you have to go through Galaxies to rescue her.

GAMEPLAY
Same good old 3d platforming gameplay we saw in in the 3D Mario games since Super Mario 64. In some levels, it makes you play 2d, as in Super Mario Bros style gameplay. It usually only lasts part of a level though, never the whole thing. Here is the frustrating part, anyone remember how in Super Mario 64 you traveled through the castle to get to certain worlds? It has been like that in every 3D Mario game, until now. They have replaced the system with a very linear "select level" style system, probably in an attempt to make the game more user friendly. Also, remember how in Super Mario 64 you got to go to big areas where there were a lot of stars? Not any more. Now you go to a ton of small galaxies that have only 1-3 stars. The worst part is, they have made the game frustratingly linear. In the previous games, they would tell you the objective and you would have to go through a big level and find out what to do. So far in Super Mario Galaxy 2, I have yet to have to "search" for anything. Most of the stuff is just handed to you and you are shown where to go most of the time. The game is also VERY easy at this point, the same problem I have With Super Mario Galaxy 1. I remember having quite a bit of trouble on Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. It seem they have made the Wii Mario games too easy.

CHARACTERS
We have our standard Mario characters, gommbas, koopas, mario, luigi, toads, dry bones, bullet bill, thwomp, bowser, peach, and a lot of others I cannot remember as of now.

GRAPHICS & SOUND
They are some of the best the Wii can offer. Smooth edges, colorful levels, excellent scenery. Truly a beautiful game. Super Mario Galaxy 2 sports the same great quality of music you come to expect in every 3D Mario game.

RE-PLAYABILITY
Despite the game being some what linear, there are a ton of stars to get (120 I believe). Playing through this game again would be just as fun as the first time through.

BOTTOM LINE
Graphics- 10
Sound- 9
Gameplay- 7
Replayability- 8
Overall- 8.5

*cricket cricket*

They need to get out of Palestine, first and foremost.

Yes, but saying everyone should die is a bit extreme. Especially since most of the citizens were born there and really had no choice of living there.
