Oh, I obviously have no idea how that stuff works. I thought you were talking about game prices which are outrageous.
They are outrageously priced, but I was talking about the Xbox Live subscription fee.
Also, when I talked about innovation instead of doing what has already been done, I wasn't talking specifically about motion controls. It could have been innovation in some other way. My point was that it is better to create something better than to repeat what has already been done.

Back this up and I will believe you. What makes the PS3 better than the Wii? It is all debatable and up to personal opinion. There is no official way to judge what console is better.
I have no desire to sift around the internet for facts, now if you wish to enlighten yourself that is up to you.
You may find facts about the console, but whether I like them or not is up to me. It is completely up to opinion. You keep trying to pass opinion off as fact and it is not working.

So in your opinion the WII is better. But from an objective view the 360 and PS3 both are capable of far more than the WII (the PS3 more so than the 360) and the PS3 shipped with motion controls. It's all about opinion, I'll take a Mario game over a generic FPS any day The WII is targeted to pre-teens and seniors and it does a good job of entertaining their target demographics. Just because it is targeted to a specific group doesn't mean its use should only be in that group. I find Wii games to be enjoyable for all ages. The graphics the WII has are limited the controls are not precise in the least and worse of all very few of the WII games seem to be targeted at adults. Graphics do not equal a good game, the controls are much more percise than an anolog stick, and who cares what audience the games are for if they are fun? Nintendo has been milking the Mario series for 20 years. If the games are still fun and refreshing, I welcome new installments in a series. Now I am not saying that's a bad thing they are making money hand over fist but you speak of innovation, I seem to recall the EyeToy which gave motion control over the game in the PS2.....hmm who is copying who now. Eye toy is a completely different form of motion control.

There is no way to judge if a console is "better" than another one. It is all up to one's opinion. You can try to convince me all you want, but the Wii is better than the 360 to me, and that is all that matters.

I am not defending the Wii, no one is attacking it. I was simply pointing out the obvious similarities between the two control schemes.
Also, I can easily say the Wii is better than the 360. I play my Wii more than my 360. I have no need for generic shooters and racing games, basically the only thing 360 provides. Plus $60 just to play online now? I'll pass.
@ blue. It's called innovation. Microsoft is doing motion controls in a different way. Instead of copying what has already been done, one should create a new and better way to do something. I have no idea what that might be, but people are getting paid big bucks to think of these things, I'm not.

Sony didn't patent the technology until 2008, a full two years after the Wii came out. If they were working on a motion control system before the Wii, they would have patented the system back then.

mumble is VERY nice. I used it once while playing Battlefield 2 Project Reality, they have a server for events and stuff. When you install Project Reality, you can install mumble too, if you choose to install it that is.

Hi Guys! I've just installed AA on a fresh ubunu os. But I can't bring it up to start. After clicking a server, a can see for a short moment the AA Logo. Thats it. Any idea?

The problem with pball legitimately is Windows vs Linux. Pball uses directX for the physics, which is owned by Microsoft and doesn't run on Linux. I say this as a Linux stan that hasn't used Windows regularly in years. :P

Basically, the problem is not Windows or Linux as you say; the problem only comes from F12 when the admins choose the PBall card that is bugging.
Exactly, my friend, it's with Linux that it crashes. I tested with my 12 Linux servers by pressing F12 for the PBall map and all my servers crash. That's why Nick built me a PBall server to avoid having to go through F12.

I am On Linux and It does not crash when shooting the crates :). But the reason Its not crashing I think its because how I run the game through a compatability mode for windows programs. So technically Its "running through windows" :) As you say, It probably is going to crash on the Native Linux Version of the Game
falken64, it's the opposite, it doesn't crash with Windows. I am the owner of the PBall server. It only crashes when we go through F12, it always crashes when we shoot the crates. :)
It might be a windows system that wouldnẗ crash it. I am currently on Linux but to run this game I am using Steam and Adding the game as a Non-Steam Game and switching from the default compatibility setting to Proton 9.0-x and it works flawlessly. It doesn't crash when playing on the Pball map because technically I Would be playing this on Windows even tho Im on Linux. Maybe if it would crash when playing this on the Native Linux version that doesn't work on newer Linux distro's? Or does this only relate to the servers crashing?

Gunny PBall does not work on Linux only on windows, Nick created my PBall server with windows a long time ago.

You cannot choose the PBall map with F12 as it always crashes the server due to a bug, but on my PBall server you don’t have to go through F12, if you’re interested lol.

PBall only works on a Linux (I think) server. If it isn’t a Linux (I think) server, it will crash as soon as someone shoots one of the movable boxes or barrels. This is why I don’t switch to PBall when I do a rotation, even though I love PBall. Please correct me if it’s a Linux or Windows server that’s needed for PBall, I always get them mixed up. lol.
