there were some people working on a sai for 2.5
anyone know who was involved or how it was progressing?

Ummmm That would be me trolling with Photoshop :)

Course, there is always TeamView...

But I don't have the source to that.

Waste of bandwidth and they can be easily blocked/bypassed with pretty much any cheat.

Go into the settings and there's an option to enable Open Slots.

- If AA4 comes and if its good, players will leave to aa4.

Only if their computer supports it. I'd bet AA4 requires as much if not more resources than AA3.

My point still stands :) They shouldn't need that tool. I don't load up AA every day so I generally get to see the rage people have before I realize you put out an update :D

Go for it. Reach out if you can. I don't know if the AA4 devs had anything to do with AA2 but it's worth a shot. The worst they can do is say no.

I've reached out twice to try and talk to devs and the AACM to see what the possibility is and I never got a response.

The only reason they should say no is because it's a license paid for by tax dollars. However, it's old, we're trying to keep it alive and ANY free publicity for the Army should be a good thing. Maybe they'll make us sign something that says we'll keep it for true AA values or something like that. Keep mods & silly maps out and restore original gameplay. I could see them saying yes and saying no. Who knows.

*EDIT*
There's also that guy that beta tested for quite a while and got his hands on stuff that he wasn't supposed to. ancients_[GRINDER] or something like that. I was in touch with him a bit and I know he has an editor for the unencoded version of 2.7. I'm sure he's got other stuff as well. I just looked through my e-mails and can't find any contact info for him.

You shouldn't seek good sound quality for an advantage, you should seek it to be immersed more in the environment.

FIX YOUR FUCKING MONITOR THEN. INSURGENT CAMP IS NOT A DAYTIME MAP.

how much would it cost?

It's "legacy". I don't think you can buy it anymore. You could buy a UE4 license (maybe UE3) but it wouldn't do AA any good. I doubt all the AA files were deleted. Maybe we can talk to some of the devs and see what they think. Pye seemed pretty active after he got fired :)

Jonny, how are you (did you?) going to implement training? I can definitely help with maps, it's just an issue of time. I don't have much time on my hands lately but I'm sure business will come and go so I should have time in the near future.

The tool your using is outside of Assist. Use the "Fix PB" or "Re-Install" option in Assist if you have issues.

Jonny's already said that it won't be fixed. If your game is too dark then that's due to 1 of 2 things:

1. Your monitor isn't calibrated.
2. You think the devs got that map wrong.

Reason #2 is only valid if it's a mAAp map. The official maps have already been tested wide-scale on a variety of hardware for balance, bugs, layout and yes, lighting. If there was a problem, the devs would have fixed it.

I tried Calibrize, but it doesn't fulfill the requirements, That program only helps calibrate your monitor's colors and brightness; you can't even specify different brightness levels for different full screen programs. It's essentially useless trying to use Calibrize for significant in game brightness improvements.

I'm guessing you aren't experiencing this problem Spanky. How about you go in game, put the video settings to default and see for yourself if Calibrize is the proper solution.

That's the point. It calibrates your monitor. No need to mess with other settings. Once you calibrate, that's it. You're seeing stuff as you're supposed to.

I'm on Windows 8, I've been in-game and I always play at the default settings.

I disagree Ganja but only on the sound aspect. With a good system, you'll hear the sound as it's intended and you'll hear all the little details that make the game what it is.

FPS is a personal choice. I aim for quality first as long as I get above 30-40FPS.

i hears good things about dell monitors

Dell Ultrasharps are good because they use IPS panels just like Apple Cinema displays.
