I would not trust that Trans-late guy, he's often drunk and his translations can be confuse sometimes.
Yea there are some traps where I've felt with him/her

Perkele osaan minäkin pelata tätä peliä.

We don't have common language Gen, I don't speak the language of yours and the less I understand it. Fortunately my friend Trans-Late works at Google - I'm not sure should I call my friend as he or she because my friend plays in both bands if you know what I mean - let's just say that my friend at Google helped me with this:

Ya sadly had to pull out when the NL provider we were "renting" from went to shit (as I am sure you remember all of the ups and downs with them beginning of 2016).

Can only hope the demand will be greater and we will step foot overseas again and test the waters :)
yep I do remember well you were good provider, there's no doubt I wouldn't recommend / use your services if you just had shit to provide. NA players have easy job, all they need to do is to trust in six letters: v o r t e x

I didn't reply because Wickid already wrote about hosters.at first. If Vortex Servers would still have servers in Europe I'd recommend them, but they are not here anymore and we have only a few providers left. BIG, IGC, Hosp Paradise, Watnc, wAa, $k!t and QX are all running on same provider, and as a service they work well.

Vortex Servers and Hoster.at are using the same gamepanel to administrate the server. It's easy to use, when ever someone needs help with it, do not hesitate to ask.

Junk is having another provider for his server, I don't remember what was the provider, their gamepanel is very different than what Vortex and Hosters are using but still all makes sense if you know what you're doing.

Hosters costs for 1€/slot, I'm very satisfied with their product, but I'm very unsatisfied with their customer care.

edit: all in all I don't have anything else to recommend than Hosters.at, visit Junks server and have a look how it works.

There is no provider that you could use to avoid the crashes there has been.

Distributed Denial of Service* 1

Pipez0r explained it a lot better than you, I'm afraid.
hehe poteito potato

Hangover is my excuse, was sitting in a car and trying to post that with mobile, saw three posts being sent during the time I wrote it, thought to post it either way even though Pipezor made a good post

it is just frustrating - didn't mean to attack you
so as i understand you it is actually 1 single person doing this
so what do the assist hosts or the provider or whatever say ? surely they don't like some retard hacking their services ?
I admit I got no clue what is going on here and I am not prepared to aquire this knowledge cause I will never need it anyway - It is just a pity that there doesn't seem to be a fix to the problem so far
so thanks for trying to solve the issue

Lord-of-War  :style:
The problem in Dedicated Denial of Service attack for the victims is that they most likely will never get evidence who really is behind the attacks. Logs are full of IP's showing only that there is someone attacking but they for example fake IP's or jacked devices delivering the attack.

Then again there are more than one way to attack so blocking the attacks is hard, nearly impossible.

You mentioned me in your first post, just to let you know I have tried to open eyes of this community for this shit for months already - otherwise I'm not the one dealing with issue, just writing down what I see and what you should see as well.

I just comment on this to say I removed the previous post because I realised there's no chance that you'd be the one I thought you was.

Then again, hwid's and mac addresses are unique, IP connection is different, that wouldn't reject the activation straight away.

You can post your old accounts as a battletracker link to this thread, although like I said they see very well if your computer is recently used to play this game.

I'am not dumb!
can you prove that this accounts are linked to me? or you just playing dumb?
If you didn't realise the new account got rejected because of link to existing account(s), which means your pc ( mac-address & hwid ) is linked to those accounts that were used yesterday. Read: they see you or someone else uses that pc to play with those accounts and because of the rule of one account per pc it gets rejected.

Server Support / Handling Server Messages
« on: Friday, July 08, 2016, 03:11:36 AM »
There are two ways to get server forcing text to be scrolling at console. One way is to repeat Welcome Message / Message Of The Day -lines by enabling repeatmessage from system/aa25.ini. These are boolean values where 0 is false and 1 is true. Most likely you don't want to use this method just to scroll text in console, so keep repeatmessage disabled

Code: [Select]
repeatmessage=0
I'm using services from two providers here as an example. If you rent a server from Vortex Servers (NA servers), you most likely have servermessage.cfg file at system/pb folder. If you rent a server from Hosters.at (EU servers) you most likely don't have this file ready for your use. I'm not familiar how it is with other providers nor home servers. If the file exists at system/pb folder, delete it.

Have a look at this forum post: http://aao25.com/forum/general-chat-90/server-messeseg-question/msg16328/#msg16328 and download the serverrules.zip file uploaded by Ru$tY.

Open serverrules.cfg from the .zip file with such a text editor that would be able to show the file in correct encoding format, guess basic Notepad would work in Windows, TextWrangler works for Mac users. Linux nerds are able to find themselves the program what to use :P

As you can see from the file, server messages will be posted with pb_sv_task [time1] [time2] say command. [time1] is just an order number in which order will the messages be shown. Note that it'll go from the highest value to the smallest one, it kind of prints the message upside down. TIME2 is the frequency in seconds that the message repeats, like -[sVs]-Beamer is saying at other thread.

Correct encoding of the file seems to western. If you mess up the encoding, those colour codes provided by Ru$tY. at the end of his serverrules.cfg file wont work.

Note that in Ru$tY.'s post they have differently named files, I'm not sure would it still work like they were guiding back in 2012, but nowadays system/pb/servermessage.cfg file is the one that will be shown in console as a scrolling message once it's placed into system/pb/ folder.

So once you have downloaded the .zip file uploaded by Ru$tY. just edit the content of his serverrules.cfg the way you want and change the colours how you'd like them to be. When you're done, don't just save the file straight away, use Save As feature to be sure you save it in correct encoding format. Also you need to rename the file, so save it as servermessage.cfg.

When you have created new servermessage.cfg file in correct encoding format (western), go to your server administration / game panel, or navigate to the correct folder via ftp or locally if you're using home server, have a look into system/pb folder if servermessage.cfg file exists, if it does then delete it. When there's no such a file at the folder anymore just upload your recently created servermessage.cfg to the system/pb folder and when it's there, restart your server to get your changes to work.

If you edit the servermessage.cfg file via web browser, where content of servermessage.cfg is opened inside of textarea to be able to edit it, submitting the edit form will change the encoding of the file to UTF-8 and colours wont work anymore. Also when you open western encoded file in web form you wont see the content correctly since the web form doesn't understand such encoding as western.

All the credits goes to Ru$tY. who took time to solve this back in the days.

Server Support / Re: Having trouble

Having trouble changing the scrolling text color in our server. plz help. ty
You are speaking of server message, are you running home server or who is your provider? Have a look  if you can find servermessage.cfg file at system/pb folder, this is the file that does it.

Also make sure you don't have in your aa25.ini "repeatmessage" enabled. Otherwise it repeats your welcome message / message of the day -lines ( motd1 - motd4 ) at console. These are boolean values, so 0 stands for false and 1 is true

Code: [Select]
repeatmessage=0
What comes to servermessage colours, there's encoding issue in editing the file via web browser. I'm about to write own thread of how to deal with .cfg files

Just to be clear, i don't have any grudge against you, since i don't even know you. Pit is a low life idiot, i argued with Jonny and who ever unbanned him 3 or 4 years ago. What concerns me is how this shit have been dealed since the beginning, since the PERSONAL issues, are destroying the game, you took part of it but, as i said before, so as admins.

I don't want make any futurology but, honestly, if you ignored him or made the problem private do you believe, the things were where they are now?
The reason for him to do this shit ( follow where I play and crash the server ) is because he blames on me of his bans, he has no mirror where to look at. He caused his own bans himself, I had nothing to do with it. I dont know why he wants to kill the game

It was he causing always the public drama, too bad his threads are deleted. I honestly dont know what I should have done differently back then with him. What should have been done in general was that he should have been banned immediately when it was clear what accounts he was using.

Ronski, i did respect you but i do not like you. but this should be ok for everybody. but that you now start to lie about several things is just more then a joke. its a kind of provocation or in another way, the part of you you did not show to some others. and you know what i mean.
to tell that i did or do ddos is just one of this lies you are coming with. are you so much frustrated that you do need to do that kind of shit? i know why i dont like you - now maybe others understand.
and as you know i am hard, very hard trying to get this noob doing ddos all the time. and what i can say - and i did so far in the other thread - the first attack which i still think its from possessed (but no proof so far) is total different from the attacks now. first was tcp now its udp. complete another kind of attack.
but that you start to say i did attack, i did rent bla bla and others shows your real face. and maybe its you who did the second ones. i will not cry if you leave - go! and please let us alone here in the shoutbox with your sicky way of arguments.
and i did set out a price for "my" specialists to catch one of those guys. a high price that will motivate and set also the priority to search. so lets see. i would not be surprised by the result i guess. poor boy.
At your DDoS thread I first almost bought everything like many did. You were there stating it's Possessed doing the attacks against your server. While reading the evidence more carefully it showed that you had no proofs, yet you kept blaming on him. During these all attacks you have been protecting Pit and demanding to unban him. Can't you realise how it sounds? You kept protecting Pit and blamed on Possessed (who banned Pit). You are smart guy, you have realised it yourself that it's Pit doing them, thats why reason for me to suspect the chance of you being involved is because of the constant protecting the obvious attacker and blaming someone else with evidence that is mixed from two different subjects and the only connection in your evidence was ip's located to Brazil where lives over 200 million citizens. Note that in this thread I said it's either scenario A) or B) and I even started with the one where you're not involved because that's for what I believe more. But as long as you keep protecting the obvious attacker it just makes you look more guilty as well, sorry about that.
