News / Re: Polls Update

About the ban happy admin point from AAC:

We can't and shouldn't tell clans who can or who can't be in their clan. The best we could do is not let those kinds of people be admins on a server.

However, all this monitoring servers and stuff would be a considerable amount of work for very little benefit. I doubt there would be many clans who would appreciate being told what they can or should do with their servers. Besides, it's nearly impossible for us to know whether or not there was a valid reason for a ban on a certain server.

He's been playing Assist on only that acccount and has no weird kicks or anything like that is all I can tell you.

If you wish, you can check the old http://history.anticheatinc.com/aa2/ for his background before Assist.

Yeah but this topic doesn't make sence ...

Guy is banned , asks what is going on, there should be only 1 reply saying: We believe you are Pit-23, a hacker, so you will remain banned. period. There souldn't be this discussion about "I know 56 ways how to circumvent a ban" "oh me only 24 wtf tell me" ...
You're right. But where else would you up your postcount? :D

But in all seriousness, the answer to his question was simple and has been stated. He just refuses to 'understand' it.

Maybe make a new section on the forums: How to circumvent a ban ...
Don't get mad Ganja, everyone could figure this out and very few people have the resources to actually do it.

Well the top part stacks up really well, but now I get this on my phone:

I'm guessing Bart has a similar resolution and picture.

It used to be that you could just scroll to the side and read the text that way.

Although, it can, of course, be viewed by turning my phone sideway :)

True, there have been so complaints about that (from me too). While changing your name on assist it won't warn you that your playername is too long or that it contains "illegal" characters for the game, so when you'll try and log into Assist you"re fucked for  day (untill you change your name again)
I thought it did say when you change it in Assist. Unless you meant to say Battletracker there, because it definitely doesn't warn about anything on BT.

This background check forum section should be closed. Nothing ever comes of a background check. Assist has anti-cheat so good, hackers are kicked/banned before anyone notices.
There has been a few cases where someone's been circumventing a ban and they're reported.

However, those are isolated insidents and could easily be addressed with PMs.

Nothing I can see wrong with him.

The only problem then is the disallowed characters and no limitation on name length that BT allows.

Anti-Cheat / Re: [Mr.Slon] and =IGC=Smoke
« on: Wednesday, August 27, 2014, 05:19:26 AM »
If he was the vip at that moment that couldn't have happened ;)

I was referring to this, so that couldn't have happened:
and never been overly fussed about it. In fact on saturday in water treatment a guy just shot me dead at the start of the round, and I swear to god, I did not say a word or act in anyway to provoke it.

And Smoke, learn to quote me properly! :D

You're right in the sense that Smoke did have -220 ROE at 17:12 GMT that day. But He had played a couple of hours that day since some time before 10 GMT and that's the only ROE he ever got. That's hardly offensive.

The same with Mr.Slon. He had -179 about 40 seconds later, but even though he does sometimes get ROE, 95% of his rounds are still ROE free and I would hardly call that offensive either.

All I can say is that both of them TKed someone in a rapid succession, but it does seem to only have happened once.

As opposed to you, who had -1512 in 5 minutes after the previous.

And people TKing at spawn before you can move is usually an accident. People press the fire button for some reason. It might be because they've got AA running in a window and they see the round starting and are switching to AA, it might be another reason, but it's rarely intentional.
