Exactly, they weren't very smart. That's why I think it'd be a shame to waste disk space on co-op only maps. But, if we can add the functionality into all maps and let the server owner decide, that would be pretty damn good.

Once a cheater always cheater, he is branded for the rest of his life.

Yup, that's why you see plenty of servers taken down and hacked in by me. I just can't stop hacking, it's in my blood.

I was just in a server and someone was saying it's not realistic... Idiots.

You keep telling yourself that Spanky...because ya know what? You're the only one believing that!

If a poll were created asking if I should come back after trolling the forums and taking over the SourceForge account when Pit was admin, people would say no. But I'm back and I'm contributing (albeit slowly).

I would say yes only if it's possible to have AI on all maps BUT enable/disable them with a mod. Then the server admin could decide if they want to play assault/defense or coop on any map.

It's nice having coop only maps but, I dunno. I guess I have nothing against them. It would just be nice to have coop on all maps.

It's funny that the last 2 pages are mostly "How do I turn it off?". Good to see it's not just new maps that people hate, it's change altogether.

It's the context and history of the player.

lift all other approved bans as well.

I will tell you with certainty, not all other bans are as grey as Pit's case.

Exactly Ganja. He could have just done it and let it be but he took the time to let us know what was going on. That's something a lot of devs/admins don't do.

As for starting a poll for Pit, the results would have been the same as this but the question would have been "Do we allow Pit back in the game?". Very few would vote yes.

If you think we like hackers and want them back in the game, you're dead wrong. The banlist remains quite large and it will stay that way. Pit is a unique case and frankly, I hope he remains legit to prove all you naysayers wrong. As Jonny said, just wait and see, time will tell.

I've added an option in assist settings to turn of the player names.
We do need the dead players to fade out though, like the enemy reported icon fades.

I dunno, I kind of like that. Maybe just keep the player icon? OR have the enemy reported take longer to fade and then fade the dead player the same length. If you're in a firefight, you don't suddenly forget where your buddy died or where your buddy said the enemy was. However, we can't possibly have reported enemy stay on there the whole round, that would be a way to get griefed. There's got to be a good balance. What's the current spotted time to fade? I'd say 15 seconds. That gives you time to find cover and look at the SAI more closely.

I remember a few things were mentioned:

- Player names clogging up the space. This might be fixed with only showing playernames within a certain distance or perhaps instead drawing them on the screen like mAAp TeamView? Or just have this as an option?
- Add a little space between the left edge of the screen, maybe 10px at most.

I don't think there's anything major to do. As it is, it's got a very production-level feel to it. I like every single aspect of it.

Because I want to be freed of this nightmare job!

You should probably take a break, at least from my constant barrage of suggestions :) AA is a cruel bitch that consumes your time until you're insane if you let her. Take some time off once SAI is out, you deserve it.

Jonny, like I said in the other thread (not that I need to say it, you already know first hand);
People will always complain about change. Don't you dare make the Deployment button 1px wider or you'll have hell to pay. There is something I've wanted to post but didn't feel like making a new thread. I feel like now is a good time:

Take a look at the number of players online. That was May 2009 at 4pm PST, yea, back before the official Auth was shutdown. I checked today and there were 5x the amount of players on at the same time all using your Auth on your program. Not to mention, it's summer time, when there's usually less people on.

The direction the project has taken and the decisions that have been made and the work that has been done by all of the people that have contributed to what Assist is today should evoke nothing but a proud feeling. Especially for you, as our leader. There are those that complain, those that come and go but look at the numbers. They speak for themselves.

Without a doubt, you're the right man for the job. ELiZ was pretty damn good but as a whole, you're the idea and meaning behind this project.

I could go either way at this point. I see what you're getting at Killa but... *sigh*

I'd really like to see Jonny's view on all this.
