So, according to you, Eliz first wrote

Pit - Confessed Cheater and liar
Lowhertz - Cheater, even tried to DOS the Auth Server a couple of times
And then, not even 3 hours later (look at the timestamp) he decided you were part of it aswell? :P

You are trolling now (not the first time), but OK, I will go, find it, and quote it. Fucker.

Appreciated <3

Great you quoted that Eliz's post. Now go ahread and read this thread carefully, where he first says that I did attack with hertz, but then immediately changes his mind, and says it was some other person.

Unfortunately he never admitted he made mistake in accusing me of those attacks.

Talking about liars?

Ok, point me out where it is...because it isn't, otherwise you would have already quoted it.

I have the exact same felling, like you didn't hear my arguments, and only repeating your story.

Arguments? Depends on the point of views. This is the opinion Eliz had about you 3 years ago.

No, I'm talking about a very specific thing which you ignore to understand. Farewell.

Third, and most important, is your definition of "matching"/"range" between IPs used by me and those used in attacks is simply ridiculous. If I used 100 web proxies, and then one of the IPs from attack is somewhat close to one of web proxy's IPs, then what is the meaning of that? None.

Lol, not really. And yeah, you need to see the ip range (I highly doubt Poss would have claimed for consistency against 1/100 ip range combinations), but what are the chances of you using that range of ip dresses both in-game and on the forum (as stated by Poss) and then have another device using that range for the ddos in practice, in a matter of time of maybe a day or two? They're rather low...besides, you said your ip originated from web proxies use (which in fact i doubt), I don't think whoever did that ddos would have needed to use such a thing, or use services from a company that also offers web proxies. Using a web proxy for that kind of thing would be a funny thing to do :P unless she/he was too stupid.

Lol, and again you talk about a VPN ip as if the fact that one user playing the game and someone attacking the auth using the same ip range were totally a "random" thing. Its not, surely not with that timing....

Web proxy for assist login? Wtf you talking about?

Possessed wrote you used the same ip range to login on the forum and on the Assist. And of course you did not only use a web proxy to login on the Assist and play..........

Quote
Back to the topic. I finally grasped what exactly Possessed did to magically "match" me to the IPs used in the attack. He simply took the enormous ammount of IPs I used to login on forum through various web proxies, and found that some of them are _similar_ to some of the used in the attack.

Anyone who has at least basic technical knowledge would only laugh at this (oh, before you start replying to this, first go check what a web proxy is, if you don't already know). First, If he did this for _all_ players and forum users, he would for sure found similar "matches". Second, if he took the effort to actually check what those my "matching" IPs were, he could probably see that those are/were simple web proxies.

I logged legit login attemps from you as well, you can't deny you're behind the IP ranges I blocked, the forums is filled with bans on your accounts, using those ranges, the game logs show you playing from them, no one else did.

So you used "only" a web proxy in order to use the forum AND login through the Assist through the same ip range? Of course you did not...but the matter is trivial anyway (and I'm talking about protocols and latency reasons).

About showing a logfile or ban a player:
Its in the hand of every admin to read, to show, to act as he likes, because he own/rent the server (with a game running from the real us army - its not the auth server). So please try not to mix 2 different things. I agree that the user interface is in private hands of big sergio (or whatever). They can make rules (TOS) and more - like on the other side the server admins. This is a fact.

But again, banning a player for a reason older then almost 2 years is just not fair. And if you say you would have done it before but you could not because he always find out a workaround, then it is only a poor statement at all. So he will come back again, logical no?

I wish we could bring this now to an end. I will make a ban appeal if you really want to have it. i will do it for pit, because this all is now that much in deep water that no one of you will come out in good condition and without any shame. This is a handshake from myside to both of you - to the admins and to pit. let him play, he has hes own server with players that like to play with him. Give him that chance and jump over your shadow.

thank you!
1) he rented a server. The server happens to authenticate users through the Assist using the Battletracker database. Period.
2) You're discussing about things you only know (or want to remember) a very little bit about (regarding Pit). I already posted an amount of links on another thread regarding stuff Pit did (must be the "sheriff" thread).

I only play AA2 and Warface. Not sure what kind of game Warface is, but it runs without any problems
Warfare runs on the CryEngine 3 but aside of the different engine (which still makes for great visual quality), it must be optimized for older systems because the requirements are truly low...

I've lowered all settings, including resolution. Sometimes, when it doesnt crash immedaitely, i can play a round or two, but then it crashes.

@ merlin, i dont know what you mean with cloud files. Where can i switch this off ?

Its really odd, since i could play the beta version.
Its among the options in the game properties, on your steam client. This anyway isn't probably related to that. As a last measure you might try to literally delete your aapg folder on my games/aapg (the game would make a new one on the next start up), as it will clear out some cache data which sometimes does indeed get corrupted. But your main problem is the low amount of ram (3gb of ram aren't really enough). You can further free some system memory to get more usable one by closing background processes and apps you don't need.

P.s. just as a routine question, but...does any other game run flawlessly? And especially Unreal 3 engine based games, if you play any other than aapg?

Btw, a little sidenote: with the final release (and earlier on, with the opt in) the devs scrapped the old user interface and moved to a new custom one. That might also be affecting performance. Oh, and of course the server browser and game menus are now part of the game as a whole...hopefully these were not the features that rendered the launcher unstable back in the old beta, but they surely add in complexity to the game itself (which would have otherwise benefitted of leaving that kind of thing on the launcher).

I wish there was mac version of aa:pg....
?
Just bootcamp windows 7, the only shortcoming might be your graphic card, but aapg usually benefits of a beefy cpu and macs usually come decently equipped (and yours is perfectly capable).

It appeared to be going down every 10-15 minutes for the whole day, I've been playing for 40 minutes currently and no interruptions.
Apparently someone (who has a QI vastly lower than average) has been using DDoS attacks to put the authentication offline.

Here it is, I think. Lower your resolution and lower everything you legitimately can from the ini as I wrote above and you might get it to work, not at best tho. Of course using a 32 bits system also limits the amount of ram you can use to around 3gb.
