Anyways, as it seems here you got banned for using a cheat, and that warrants a ban which will not be lifted.

Na we have to keep the sound the way it is or all the sound whores/campers will leave.
Not all added depth is good, especially not this. It makes good sound a must to even be decent. it also makes a gaming sound card a ridiculous advantage. It's a joke when you have people just sitting in rooms listening for when someone walks in. It just makes camping even easier.
That always depends on the player.

The main issue I see here, that the only reason they want sound to be worse is so they can run around fast, well, that surely is good for a tactical game.

I played pretty well on this game in the past, and I know what good sound can do, but even with the best sound, there are still ways to stop it. Smoke distraction, slow movement with scope, etc. etc.

The main problem was people using the stopsounds exploit to hear through smokes, that had nothing to do with the sound, that had only everything to do with exploiters.

This is actually the problem in AA:PG atm, that it is not possible to hear past a small distance, making the game totally random.

You want them not to hear you? then don't run like a madman, but use slowmovement.

The fact that everything can be heard except for slow quite movements brings depth to the game, if you want to run on soil making lots of sound? Ok, do it, but then accept the fact that they can easily hear it.

I do not see why people want it removed
- Smart players will be able to dodge it
- Less straight 203s to your face, let them waste them
- Only people sitting at certain obvious spots all the time will get killed.

Why remove it?

That's what I was thinking too. If you're on teamspeak, you probably have teamwork, better communication etc, so it would be cooler to actually play assault together, at least that's what we did in BLANKS :)

On another note Hype, if you've done cal-invite and twl and other comps, you are probably a better player than them so it shouldn't be a problem to kick their ass even on assault. Still I get it gets annoying to be switched.
Normally I would agree, however he just said he plays from Japan now, his ping will be a major disadvantage on those. With lower pings it's way easier to dominate others with prefiring and peaking.

Maybe you should encourage European Players to do the same somewhere in Europe.  I think that would be very cool.
We actually had a LAN in 2009 in Antwerp with a lot of competitive teams, that was fun :)

I would join a meeting in Europe. I suppose germany/poland would be most central for most?

I did a quick check on the account Prokilla and Armyanticheat,  I will mask the last digits of the IP
These IPs are also used on ProKilla:

In November 2014 the IP 92.18.167.xxx was used on AAC
April 2014: IP 92.18.186.xxx was used on AAC
January 2015: 92.18.188.xx was used on AAC
August 2014: 92.18.204.xx was used on AAC
Februar 2015: 92.19.35.xx was used on AAC


It seems like this Prokilla guy at least uses the exact same provider.

No-nonsense, just to clarify why they say these things. Armyanticheat is =IGC=Wolf, he was banned for cheating in the past,

So that's why you see those messages. He did get a second chance, and that's why he still plays with us, this is the only exception I know of.

That's a good point Vanoke, I do agree with that.

The main issue I only see then is on maps where both ways could go, I foresee there sf taking it over because many players are too used to sf weapons/ do not want to change it.

The main question I actually have:
- Why is there no m16 mod on sf servers? What exactly is the reason people do not want m16? What is so bad about it?


Furthermore, now you mention it that way, I do not know how much effort it is for mAAppers of us, however, could it be a better idea, not to allow mods, but actually make an SF version of some maps, like we have pipeline sf already?
This will make sure people can see which server they join, slots can be made like on dockside, 3x C 1x Z, etc.

Or would this cost too much disk space/download time when somebody installs this game?
Just brainstorming of course.
