Clans, Matches & Scrims / Re: [RG]

Rrg that, I only have the free version of Steam so apparently I can't chat/send invites to people. If you talk to him would you mind telling him to check here for [RG] members?
The "issue" is much more simple, in order to chat and add friends you need to have at least one "not free" game in your game library. That of course also includes all the giveaway games you can typically get through most websites (they often give out some cheap or low cost games for free to promote them), or you can to ahead and buy one on Steam aswell as the plentiful of (legal) online stores selling cheap game keys (e.g. indiegala, humblebundle, etc).

This kind of measure was introduced by ValVe because of scammers and people abusing the Steam community feature, I believe.

only a short sequence of not playing on my server:

just another hint for you:
read all more carefully. i did never say that i will send the special forces to you down to Brazil. why should i? only because you did attack 4 times now my servers with DDoS ? :).

you did it again yesterday midnight. thanks a lot for that, because i had to set a trap for you. and remember, this is only a game. players can go to every other server as they like. i will for sure not start to cry when players will be kicked out. but maybe it will disturb the community and the picture of you as well. could be.

i will use your attack now for a test at my work as well as for the work together with the Government's special forces. but for sure i will hold my rights up for taking action against you by law.

Honestly, if I were from Brazil I wouldn't play on a European server either...anyhow, whether or not you're planning actions by law, that surely falls beyond the purpose of this forum.

Probably the matter sounds more "important" than what it looks like, because most people (and server owners) fear about assist staff using it (which would be 4 or 5 people who rarely play the game at all).  But in practice, over 5 years, it was almost never used at all, as far as I know. And there's a good reason for it, because it can easily become abuse, and they are aware of it.

It's kind of funny you started with "fact #1", about pbpower, something that hasn't anything to do with the topic (it doesnt relate to the Ddos in any way), although I don't really agree with the practice either.

I don't know much about ports but I've used more 8080 than 80 so I guess it's not that rare after all?

Interesting thread, let's see what will follow. Hopefully everything will get cleared!
It isn't really important, being the port tipically used for http you can usually try and see if the server answers from that specific port.

I would close this thread, but what you're proposing is so silly that I'd rather let  everybody have a laugh about the idea of selling accounts over a game such as this ^^.

Punkbuster has no issues with the Steam Overlay, but playing with a gamepad, even if its the steam controller, it's a wild bet of course.

Hey,

Nust saw this opened up! I see Crusador's still alive.

And how about Crunk? Ak4cruno
Crunk?! Don't you know about him? As far as I know he was arrested for stuff involving pedophile porn...Spanky posted the news page somewhere on this forum.

These days I rarely play any games at all and I think i can hardly even play a tournament, whether on this game or another (mostly because of lack of spare time).

I just facepalmed...taken from the official forums. And this is also the reason why you might still get a crash on startup, it still uses high res models/textures for the menu (it won't while loading the map)......

We think we may have found the cause of the recent memory issues. It will be going out in the next update tomorrow.

(Official aa forum user) - Man, stop being vague. What is it?
I feel a lack of closure! lol

Philbash (dev) - We think it was due to the weapon/character spinners in the main menu forcing about 500MB worth of friendly weapon/character textures to be permanently loaded in memory at their highest resolution. The textures are now unloaded when you change maps

It's been removed in an old version when there wasn't any sway or spray when unscoped. People used scoped guns only and just unscoped in close combat, that was pretty OP back then.
"99 little bugs in the code
99 little bugs in the code
Take one down, patch it around
117 little bugs in the code."
I just played the game after the patch. A few animations feel odd (particularly the slide one) and I think some lighting has been modified. Oh, and the grenade exploit is back! :D (unless they fixed it with the hotfix, which might be the reason why the slide feels odd?)

Koden, you are very invited to play on the -ew.| Elite!Warriors^ Gaming Server. you just can map vote for the maps you like. and when you join as the first player, the map will switch immed. maybe also try the [SWISS] | AA2&UMM server, i guess you will like it. but first do install the [SWISS] collection at
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=483754199
today i will play THE BIG PARTY AFTER, but the whole next week i am there. hop in, we will have fun with others from my clan and more :)

As of late i always play on the .ew server. I was also wondering if anyone has an idea about the size of the latest patch (the main one of course, not the hotfix) because i dont really have a lot of time to play nor to even leave my laptop on to download it...i'm concerned about the patch size because i was updating stuff on an old pc i never update and it tells me its around 4.7 gb O.o

shooting through walls isn't as bad anymore as it used to be, trust me :D

Imo watchdog, shadowstep and siege are quite enjoyable now
Did they lower the resulting damage? I still don't think I should have to learn most of the spam shot points before playing the bdx maps (they're definitely not "newbie friendly"). At least back in aa2 you only had to make sure you avoided the spam dropshots at the beginning! :P

got a crash while playing Slums C4 map. if you can't find it online, its because no one is hosting the map.
Yeah, these days you'll have an hard time finding a populated server that hosts either Overload or Homestead, maybe some Checkout servers, but other than that is nearly completely Inner Hospital (TTtNg and KidZ offer some variety) and the usual bdx maps which are small 6vs6 maps, sort of competitive (if you can stand being able to shoot and get shot through "walls"). Back at the beginning the old beta surely featured less maps but the map rotation list was somewhat quite enjoyable...that didn't last long unfortunately.

What? I described all parts of it, what that did you not understand? Oh, wait, you understand it all perfectly, but you simply went down to the troll level.

Dude, he never even clearly mentioned you regarding the auth ddos, while he clearly mentioned Hertz and then pointed out at Goat...
