Ive heard of Vuescan. Pretty good if I remember, I tried it but found out it doesn't work with multi-functional faxes, silly me =)

BTW the website was broken for a bit earlier and it looks like my post didn't get through.

No. You dont need to touch it. Honestly I think the accelerometer is kinda sucky since I find I need to shake the thing a bit in order to get it to flip. Or I have to rotate it slowly. Not cool if you want to show someone something real quick and your waiting for the fucking thing to figure out where UP is.

Oh d00d! I remember they were testing some shit on a motorboat and they were all wearing bathing suits. They had a clear shot of her ass in a bikini and I was like "lol awesome!"

Games & Programming / Re: Must-Have Programs
« on: Sunday, December 06, 2009, 17:28:15 PM »
Looks a lot better. Nice. Heres a couple programs I suggest:
Daemon Tools - makes virtual drives and mounts images
UTorrent - obviously downloads stuff from torrents
Trillian - instant messaging client supports basically everything and looks super sexy
Blender - open source 3d modeler
VirtualBox - best open source virtual machine
TeamViewer - used as remote assistance support, vpn, file transfer, and screen presentation. encrypted, easy to use
ImgBurn - burn images, files, folders. make images, create statistics of your disc burner, change burner options. both basic and advanced
Burrrn - burn audio files as an audio cd. does mp3, flac, mpc, ogg, pretty much everything.

I have a feeling the list might need to get split into 'programs mostly every user needs on a basic install' and 'other useful programs that are awesome'.

You can't tell me that Ubuntu doesn't do this as well.

Yes I can, Try for yourself if you don't believe. The architecture is very different, I know I've coded software for it, You cannot put files in system folders, or alter system settings, When you write software for it you are isolated to your softwares home folder unless you get super user rights from the user.
It is a far Superior system, However it is dam near useless as you can't get any software or games for it  :'(

Thats one of the few reasons that Linux gets few malacious activity. Cuz you need to become root to do anything that has to do with the system. So a hacker has to go thru the user password, and then the root password all in addition to password encyption. I still dunno where linux stores the passwords, I can tell you that for Windows though =D
