I honestly don't know where your issue lies. I often host a server on my home server and connect to it via LAN and had no issues with it. It worked not long ago and I only have 1716, 1717 and 1718 open on my router. With Assist, the communication goes out into the world and then comes back in for LAN since your server's external IP is reported to Assist.

You weren't banned, your account was refused activation. Big difference there. Why your account was refused? I see no reason for that. I have manually activated your account, you can play now.

I don't see the point for secondary accounts. Guess we're at a standstill.

Years ago, I saw the point. Back when I was clan hopping every other week, hacking and using so called noob accounts to try and fool people. Try as I might though, I can't think of a valid reason for one these days.

I really want to believe you, especially since your IP puts you in Chile and that account I linked is from Canada (verified on our end as well). However, your hardware ID matches that account. I'm finding it somewhat odd that Assist would duplicate an ID. I believe this happened recently as well. I'm going to talk to the admins and see what's going on.

As said above, I think it's fine for people to select which account they want to keep. Beyond that, I see no need for a secondary account. Allowing one for scrims just creates a loophole. And then there's "oh I forgot my password" or "I don't have access to my e-mail". Blah blah blah.

You could also set an admin password so that if there's a problem, you just re-join the server with the password and you're admin.

AA2Reborn is a revival project made by me of a client, like Assist, that lets you play America's Army 2.8.5.
