...since you seem to have taken my text out of context in regards to the implementation of rules, I'll attempt at making it simpler to understand...
I'm sure, others will appreciate your effort, but I wil go further and reduce your divagations to one word: Self-control. You see, the problem is that only few people here understand what this mean - therefore should be taken certain steps in this direction.

... If this does not resolve the problem as you've put it then why don't we all try to get to a solution then?...
That's exactly what i'm trying to do ...

... but stay on topic.

1.Your 'summarised and objective way' - there is nothing new.
2. The existence of this post is no longer valid, because the subject was discussed again. But (not questioning your competence ...) if you really want to know, ask Spanky, he replied to this post.
3. You're wrong Assist's TOA / privacy - but this is not the place and time...

Last thing: why if something goes wrong, I see always on this forum the same solution:

'...shut down your internet, stop using your debit/credit cards, cut access to your phone...'
...or:
if 'something' (there is many of those...), then 'don't agrre'/'don't play'/'don't install'/'uninstall'

When you (all) finally understand, that this does not resolve the problem / situation - it will cause only rage...

Free will is just another way of enforcement. A middle ground between the two is ideal: Install a poll system and make it noticeable but allow players to ignore it. This will force them to know and be aware of the ongoings of Assist and AAO but not force them to take initiative and/or be involved with it at all.
'Sorry' - didn't know, that further explanations are necessary...

If you take the time to look back you'll find that we've grown considerably from a zero-tolerance policy. If you bring valid arguments and construct your posts to represent fully in accordance with your thoughts, we'll always be considerate of what's presented in it and take it up to discussion.
:poorguy: Yeah, sure... What else..? People here are deaf to the arguments.

I am of the opinion implementing such rigid rules will, quite on the contrary, make us out to be some sort of zero-tolerance nazi-oriented Administrators/Mods. The members of this forum needn't rules to behave like adults. They simply need to want to behave like adults.
'need to want' ..? What is this? Anarchist theory..? Look around you, everything is based on the rules. This is a basic feature of society based on law. If you can't understand that, then I can't help you - nobody can...
As for tolerance, in quote above you've said, that you're already zero-tolerance nazi-oriented - so, these two opinions are contradictory...

No swearing cause adults don't use swear words?

We are all adults here...
...especially you...

I agree with Mikawe, I think stricter rules will not help. What I usually do is remove unrelated and unnecesary posts from topics and lock topics only if I think keeping them open will just cause people to repeat the same things over and over again, which is a waste of time.
Yeah, I saw that - after twenty off topic posts. You need to work more on this... Two more Admins and situation didn't change.

1.Insert polls into assist and make sure players can vote even using BT account.

2.Make sure the final decisions are made with the full ''Majority'' of voters.

3.Delete and remove multiple accounts on the forum. (including permanent banned accounts.)

4.Charge a fee of cash for cheaters/hackers or other kind of distribution action players for their second chance, this way you would get wanted donations.

5.Watch list them, keep eye on them so they don't brake any kind of rule of advantage.

6.People do make mistakes and I think they should be punished. But they should be forgiven and given the opportunity for a second chance. We are human beings.
1. Agree, but don't try to force people - remember, free will...
4. Maybe public works..? (:D) Seriously: I don't think this forum is able to accept something like this - here is zero tolerance...

7. More stricter forum rules (no swearing, respect etc.).

To help abide by the rules, should be implemented something like 'Warnings':
- second offense = expulsion for a specified time.
- third offense = ban forever.

Maybe then the members of this forum will behave like adults.

Exactly, some time ago I was proposed the same. In my deleted by admins post I was talking about empty accounts, but guess what..? There is many things, which need to be changed, but nobody care...

... With Teamviewer, two (or even more) people can consent to accessing the others' computers in many disparate fashions, even to the point of full control. If a person maliciously, and without consent, accessed a person's computer with Teamviewer, this person is breaking the law. Teamviewer, however, is not illegal. The same would apply in the case of Assist and its prerequisite agreement conditions.
So, you say: gun is safe, only people who carry it are dangerous..? ...nonsense...

... Anyways it was a great try to convince admins to change it and to warn people but it didn't work as it seems...
I wasn't trying anything... It was the only answer to the stupid excuses. ... which don't change the fact, that the Assist is not a corporation and don't have legal rights - it's just a funs made app. Conclusions, pull yourself...

... but one thing I've to tell you, when polls are up, the MAJORITY of users must vote before the final decision is made.)
I'm all for it, but I don't think that you understand what that really mean. Currently, there are about 4479 members. majority means 66%, which gives us +2956 votes - second nonsense...
Stay with 66% of votes.

Apropos of closing this thread, I wrote a post a week ago, in which, among other things I asked about this the admins, but instead, they removed my post. Sill I want to know why..?

Anyways, now I like to keep this thread open until closing of poll, because it is getting more and more interesting.

I'm pretty sure you agree to it when installing and pressing "I accept". If you don't like Assist taking screenshots of the dirty/suspicious players, don't install it.
Don't worry, I don't have installed...  :poorguy:

Anyways, Assist 'license' is not valid under the law - and thus, this button might as well not be there.

Yeah, sometimes for some reason, engine can disable Antiportal - especially in small maps (maybe because they are not too complex...). Try the same test map but based on hexagon shape - should work. This issue should not occur in normal maps.

I'm rather sure
DropBox: AntiPortal-Test2-DontWork.aao

Proves that placing it inside the BSP will not work.
Send me this map and a will tell you why...

... the AntiPortal can be anywhere inside the main subtraction, regardless of whether or not it's inside BSP, mesh or just out in the open.
Not quite right... Make Antiportal outside of geometry, zoom out in 2D viewport and move map around - you can then noted disappearing parts of the map. Antiportal should be inside of geometry - completely invisible from outside.

I guess you could also do RMODE 1 which is wireframe if I remember correctly but that can sometimes bog down your FPS to the point where it's impossible to do anything.
On what hardware do you work ..?  :D

I'm having mixed results on both brushes. I've never had this issue before. I'm wondering if it's something with the AA3 map conversion because there was also that issue with the main subtraction.
The gaps in the brushes can cause some problems (you can check this in Zone/Portal mode..), but first reset everything on Red Builder brush before do anything - if not, because of pivot offset, brush collision can be in quite a different place. Don't forget to rebuild...

But do they work?
Not exactly...

Antiportal made by:

Add Special Brush - dark green color; can be visible; used to separate different zones; in Real Time Preview its surface is invisible; copy/paste is supported; it's a Portal imitating Antiportal.
Add Antiportal - orange color; must be embedded in geometry (if not, will cause rendering problems); used to occluding planes; effect is visible only in Realtime Preview; copy/paste is not supported.

BTW: For testing, in game mode open console, type RMODE 1 and hit enter.
