We do have competitive players but few signed up....issues mentioned above.

There are a number of clan members who only play for fun, and generally sit on IC. If we had all members paying attention to forums and getting online we wouldnt have issues but eh, maybe next season.

We had to pull out.

We had poor participation...very few of our competition players signed up and have been around.

We also recent migrated forums so that has been a loss in internal communication.

Of our 7 people on the team to sign up, 4 signed up only wanting to be backup players and as it is would have been to be starters, and simply not available.

Bunny has real life things so wont be on much, and monkey has been away. And as for me - I have an ear infection on one side, and burst eardrum on the other.

Sry all, hopefully next season we can get more of our active players signed up and in the swing of things.

Ahhh I see I see.

well shit, new tracker it is haha. Can always have them both running so people dont get butt hurt. But if you extend the past sessions to include all from the past week....all the info is there!

I gave an example scoring table to calculate the value.

Cant it scan the tracker account and calculate the values? =\.

IF it was possible you could pull all sessions from someone from _ _ _ _ date to  _ _ _ _ _ date you could do it.

I mean tracker lists recent sessions but it only lists the past 10-15 or something. If you can adjust that to keep it current in Week blocks it should be pretty easy from there?

This is sounding more and more like a whole new tracker being built.

One of my problems with that is, how do you differentiate a players kills last minute from this minute? Let's say last minute he had 5 kills and now he has 6 this minute. You obviously don't add 5 to 6 for total kills, that'd be wrong. What happens if the query script doesn't catch the end of the match and misses out on the kills/points added in the last round?

A full tracker is definitely possible with more stats than you could think of. The issue is time and frankly, for me, limited knowledge. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to build the code to chart numbers of players alone. It would be good if AgentStone came back around and wanted to help out to build a new tracker. Then perhaps Smoke & ELiZ could build an advanced server mod.

I dont think your quite understanding kills per hour. It is tracked in brackets on BT currently. It is simply time / kills

So I suppose it wouldnt be a running but rather showing stats from the past week, unless you can have it update on the fly?

You need to some how gather the info between the weeks and separate them into chunks for weekly stats.

Total time played / total kills = kills per hour.

Death to kill ratio = fr.

I have no idea how to script this shit but it would be solid.

All these stats are on tracker already, but the issue is making it into week chunks.

Kills per hour: Symbolizes your effective, and not a camper

0-5 = 2, 6-10 = 4, 11-15 = 6, 16 - 20= 8, 21-25= 10,26-30= 12, 31-35 = 14, 36 -40= 16 AND SO ON

Frag Rate:
Symbolizes your effective

0-.25 =2 .26-.5 = 4, .51-.75 = 6, .76-2=8, 1.1-1.25=10, and so on

Set minimum weekly hours played to qualify on the list to like I dunno 6 hours?

Then have a table of score base on ROE to score ratio for points

ADD those points up and IMO that would best symbolize the best player.

HELL even make it so the time needs to be spent on diff maps. IE you need to have played at least 1 hour on 3 diff maps, and a total of 6 hrs?

Play with the values and score amounts but I really think with those all taken into account its an awesome way to determine the top player

I did, thats why i edit about k/d ratio. spanky got my point ! Everything is nice, time, kills, score, but plz not fragrate

They should all be combined to make a score. Those scores compared.

Then top 10 players listed with their score, and all stats.

FR is important because it shows how effective of a player you are.
Kills per hour - shows you dont camp, boosting your fr, and are an effective player.
Total kills - is a summary of your kills per hour so should give some value but not as much.

Other wise its just really any decent player who has the least of a life that week lol.

But its for sure a good start if nothing else can be done

I could ignore deaths and just do "most kills this week". That would basically equate to skill and amount of time played which might make other players want to play more, thus having a more active game.

I think all that needs to be taken into account where as "top kill" merely symbolizes any decent player who happens to have the most free time that week. Ya know what i mean?

Too much leverage to people that simply have the most free time imo.

- Biggest carnage in one round (most kills in one round)
 - Biggest geek of the week (longest session in one week)
 - other stats could be really fun to add ;) not sure how easy/difficult t would be to add them

plz, dont give stats about k/d ratio, already too many people caring about it. just make a stats for much kills, without looking at the deaths etc

Read my post before yours.

I think the biggest carnage and geek of the week ie total time spent would be cool as well.

Thats an awesome start and would be cool!  I think ideally there should be some sort of combination of kills per week, frag rate, and kills per hour.

Some sort of formula, and list the top 10 or so.

Need to include kills per hour because people can camp and get massive fr and people like that quite frankly degrade this game and deserve to be shunned not glorified.

For example this would produce a true listing of what I at least consider a "top" player.

Taking all those into account you rule out or at least penalize people who camp like tards. People who have no job or life and play all day. AND take into account good team work. ie score to roe.

There should also be a minimum kill count, and time played to qualify as well. - to rule out someone getting 1 really good round lol.

Give equal value to those 3 stats, and penalize for score to roe ratio or something :)

I think all that needs to be taken into account where as "top kill" merely symbolizes any decent player who happens to have the most free time that week. Ya know what i mean?

The issue with battle tracker is the age of those stats and how far they go back. What percent of people actually even play anymore?

Thats why I thought it would be good to keep top lists CURRENT and relevant. - daily, weekly, monthly and so on.

In the past I have also brought up a mass honor reset, and even tracker I feel should have been. But obviously it would have been ideal to happen back when assist 1st came about. Someone will always be PO'd.

But for a tight nit community you need these things imo.

Perhaps we could implement a NEW tracker. That is combined with a ladder and tournament system. All within assist. Keep the old battle tracker, or phase it out. I dunno but im guessing we have what, under 1% of tracker accounts are even used still? Likely way under that number.

Its all hopes n dreams
