I think most of those objects just can be found in AA28x versions

Here is a new version  of my AA resource Extractor v3.

With it you can extract meshes and textures(and sound and some other things) from any version between 2.5.0 to 2.8.5

It's currently in beta stage, and the extra components that I was planning of releasing at the same time is dimmed out and notselecteble.

With AARE you can extract most objects, textures to *.dds, and Meshes to *.obj.
Perhaps you can add the objects from 28x that you are missing direct into you level(map)

I hope to complete the missing components later on this month, and to a proper release of a AARS(AA Recording Studio) including a new version of AARE and other tools I've utilized though the years

The Uprising really set the standard back in the day.
PasCam was a huge step up in getting the footage you wanted.
My own Camera system I use to get content(Animations, weapon fire and weapon layout) is also a custom uscript.
The difference is that with PasCam you make the footage inside AA, in mine all the fun stuff happens in 3Ds Max.

The Uprising still blow my stuff out of the water when it comes to Directing and editing.

I have improved the weapons import.
Prior to this I had to manually add the current Weapon and handle weapons switching manually

Make some nice scenarios on not well known maps would be great

I get what 1m50ry is getting at. Clearly 1m50ry is seems to be veteran Bridge player :D
We share the same feelings about playing Defence on the Bridge.
That reference to CosaNostra in the end is a poke at me(CN is my former clan)

As I read it:
Assault has as 1:2 player dissadvantage.
Video is an tribute to those that used to dominate public Bridge servers playing Assault back in the day.

Thanx 1m50ry for the input, we'll se how it stacks up to other ideas, if there is any more presented...

I now have done the most work in coverting more AAO maps to 3ds Max, I have some issues with lights and terrains, but I expect to be able to handle those within a few days.

Good that some are interested.
More might come if we start doing some work.

First off, let?s try brainstorming a bit.

Easiest way of doing a video as this is making small separate Short movies, 30-60 sec, combining in one longer.

For instance, one scene could be a soldier standing on the bridge, sad music playing in the background.
With a Sad/anxious expression on his face, he jumps off the bridge, seaming killing him self.
Camera following him as he fall, after a few seconds he recoils, revealing that he is bungyjumping.

Also give suggestions about what maps would be cool to be using.
I'm working in the background converting and updating my converting/Recoding tools, I also started loading maps into 3DS Max so that it can be used to render the movie.

What is the point really?

I've tried time after time to make the best AAO fanmovie I could make, but I still feel I could do better. I'm hoping that by adding others talents to my own this will be possible.

A reason for some others might be to be able to influence non 2.5 players to return, thus adding interest for 2.5.

Even if I haven't loaded the game in a few years without the purpose of making a video, I still care about the game.

I made this topic to get feedback as well as seeing if anyone was interested in joining the project. I take your post as a "no", I thank you for your feedback.

I'll follow up in a few days, and we'll see if there is enugh interest

Hi all.

Is it too late to propose a new Video project, or is everyone going as far away as they can from this game?
Normally I would start rendering same old.. running down the Bridge.

If you havent seen any of my work before, here there are:

But if there are anyone else interested in doing something different than the normal frag movie, we might make a combined effort.

I have some real life experience of project managment, and would be able to handle that.
I would also be able to handle FX. I've made a number of tools that are quite unique.

What is further needed is:
Ideas, in game acting, voice acting and  a Private server,

I have a few months free, before returning to my studies.
