Cheapest way to make those gaming sigs are to take a render of a person and stick them on top of another background from a game. do some effects to blend the person on the background. blur for motion only. add some light effects. done.

I still go to the maappack site actually lol.

I do have to say, that no one was invited to HS. There was just a sticky on the maappack forums and Spanky set it as his status, thats it. So if theres people crying about that, this is ridiculous. Iunno you can cry about a party no one was invited to directly.

I'd leave it there to let people laugh at how that person managed to get on the internet in the first place. Other than that, the raging cactus dildo never failed to get people to stfu and come back after 1 week of proper treatment :)

I dont know how to update OpenGL for the engine lol.

Right, but the same goes for DirectX. How do you intend on updating the DirectX code in the engine without the source code? Unless it's all there, and was just disabled for some reason?
The hacker community does a good job of getting source codes. Also the newest version of AA runs on DX9, so it really is a copy/paste job with some source modifying. That doesn't mean itll work for sure though =p

I'd still like to integrate a new physics engine, add reflective/refractive surfaces, and change some things around.

The passwords in the mysql are encrypted with SHA-1. Dump, decrypt, and sell. Go go go!

Games & Programming / cURL and libcurl
« on: Friday, January 22, 2010, 02:35:30 AM »
http://curl.haxx.se/

curl is a tool to transfer data from or to a server, using one of the supported protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, FTPS, SCP, SFTP, TFTP, DICT, TELNET, LDAP or FILE). The command is designed to work without user interaction.

curl offers a busload of useful tricks like proxy support, user authentication, FTP upload, HTTP post, SSL connections, cookies, file transfer resume and more.

curl is powered by libcurl for all transfer-related features.

Looks very useful, hopefully the person I'm aiming this towards knows what to do with this.
