sorry, dont know how to upload an Image here. but this link should work:
http://swiss-clan-site.enjin.com/gallery/m/4733675/detail/95127#pid=945564

and sorry, the error is in german. i will translate:

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive xx

where xx  is a solid state device and the system device as well

No need to translate on my account, i had german as a 3:rd language in school for 4 years.

And since it's from Armyops.exe and not the server exes, this sounds like the old No Disk error thats been in AA from the beginning of time.

But thx for report, I'll keep it in mind.

another strange thing. first i did think, this has nothing with aa25 about, but it must be because of aa25 7.14b:

http://swiss-clan-site.enjin.com/gallery/m/4733675/detail/77765#pid=945450

the computer is searching for a disk, i dont know why, but it is (a changeable like a cd, usb stick or so) :D . if i stop beta 7.14 this message stops also.
the message appears not often, but it does. i installed the prog in a separate directory in the same Folder as aa25assist is done by itself. but with an other name. maybe this is the reason. but if you guys do not have that panomen, it is ok i guess.

i will search for the reason why and when it's happend.

Can you post the image here?
I have trouble using the link above.

hey jonny, do you have win8 running. not realy, right ? :D

I tested in win8 and got the same result.. pink PBSS.

Similar problem with AA3 in Win8:

http://www.anticheatinc.net/forums/showthread.php?t=79021
Same errors on other games as well.

I'll test further, running in vmware, so I'm quite limited to edit video drivers

I'll install Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.6 as a virtual machine.
I need to know for myself what is possible or not.

Just tested it out as a fresh install. All seems to be going good. The worst thing I saw was that the authentication message showed up twice but that's it.

There's a few ideas & suggestions I'd like to run by:
America's Army Assist Setup Dialog Box:
- Capitalize the A in "army"

Main SITREP page:
- Remove all text after "Click HERE" for wrong honor.
- Remove Battletracker text and button. Create a "Help" or "?" button next to login that pops up a dialog box that says "A Battletracker.com account is required to play America's Army through Assist. Click the "Register" button to create an account. After you create an account, you will have to set your desired AA username in the "Tracker Settings" section of Battletracker." Then have 2 buttons, one takes you to register an account at Battletracker and the other takes you to Tracker Settings. http://battletracker.com/forum/index.php?page=Register and http://battletracker.com/index.php?form=TrackerSettings
- Remove PB service message. People that need help will most likely either click the help tab anyway or just go to the forum. I think the "FIX" button pretty much says all it needs to.

Ideas:
- While downloading AA, it would be nice to have a pause option in-between the steps so you can pause after the current step is done.
- Update map images to the ones currently in Dropbox, there's resized ones and 720p ones. Clicking on the screenshot in Assist would enlarge it to a full size 720p version. To take this a step further, have the screenshot loaded from AAO25.com so Assist doesn't have to be updated for new screenshots. Maybe just have Assist look for http://aao25.com/images/%mapname%.png or something.

*EDIT*
Also, what about a news alert kind of thing? Where Assist could pull forum posts from this site and display them in Assist to alert people of polls or information?

I've fixed some of the simpler edit you suggested.
Some I will keep in mind moving forward

This release is mainly (as Possessed said) a security update, also it is a opportunity for me to start slowly without making to many changes and make sure all the moving parts still fit together, and boy are there many moving parts in this project :)

Should I uninstall actual Assist application?

I'm on TS if you mind to join :)

I recommend you copy this to a new location, and leave the old where it is.
I also recommend you create the folder 25Assist in the same location as 25Assist.exe, so that AA will be downloaded as a new copy, this way it will not interfere in any way with your old installation.

I'll join the ts chat in 30 mins, I have to get something to eat.

When testing this release, if you are kicked note the time and date, and report back to this thread.

No, the aa binary is powerpc, it runs on intel macs using an emulator. building a universal or intel version of assist will not change anything, it will just cause problems.
you need to bootcamp into windows or linux to play properly on an intel mac.

Oki, you sound sertain.

At least for the public beta, I'll stick with PowerPC version of assist.
I'll pm one of the Intel users for some private testing.

Intel. And no I was thinking new assist is also intel mac ompatible :P

I can compile a Intel version of Assist for the Beta, or there is even in the newer version of the complier I'm using there are 3 modes for Mac, PowerPC, Intel and Universal.

Might be so that Universal works on both types?

And once again, do you know if there is FPS issues running AA on Intel Macs, or does it fun just fine?

Hi all.

I've not decided if the final beta will be closed or open.
I case I make it closed I'll need a spread of user, winxp, win7, win8, Mac and Linux

It will take an hour ouf of your time, and hopefully improve the quality of the next Assist release
so please if you are willing to help, list your OS here in a new post.

Testing should be albe to start tomorrow.
