Can you do maps with terrain? That's probably the best way to make the overhead views.

Normally the program will process and output the terrain.
But naturally I checked before posting, and I see that the program don't process all the layers in your MP_Pipeline.
I've fixed that maually when I imported, so I'm rendering a 1024*1024(So that you can crop some if you like to get to 513x512) of MP_Pipeline.

There are some things my exported can handle, for intance sprite emitters. but most things are exported.
I'll post the SS when it's finished rendering

Yea, they've never been done before. I think in later versions I just copied the levelshot over to T-Maps as a non-boring replacement for "Image Not Available".

ELiZ, how did you do that shot?

Exported the map to 3D Studio Max.

I used the program I released here:
http://aao25.com/2-5-assist/america's-army-resource-extractor-v3-0/msg34059/#msg34059

Removed the ceilings from Assault, Def and Mid tower
Added a camera above the map, I choose to have almost 0 FOV on the camera
Added a Skylight light.

Render

A question on overhead.

Is the path(T-Maps.Overhead.MP_Rooftop) of the texture configured somewhere or is it built from missiontext entry for the map as it defined in Tours.ini?

If the auther of Rooftop don't get around to make it by your own, here is a one I did

and all the new maps do not have a Image -> F5 -> Map -> Image not available

I also noted this in my log that i was unable to load the overhead picture from T-Maps.utx
Sure it's optional to use that, but it would be nice to add them from the mappers.

just another small thing to fix:
server start, option panel - if you are activating the Map Cycling, all the new maps are not there to select for a cycling.
and all the new maps do not have a Image -> F5 -> Map -> Image not available
Map cycling is fixed

I can't find an issue either, are you sure that you have the latest version?

Yes, both Tours.ini and MP_Petrol.aao is the latest.

I'm unable to switch to Petrol through Admin panel.
I cant spot the error in Tours.ini, where  I assume the error is?

It works with admin switch MP_Petrol.

I have a bug. I got the beta downloaded (and setup in another location), had it find my stock installation of 2.5 to copy the files. It downloaded everything else. I go to Join ELiZ's server and it says "downloading T-Maps not allowed". We had this issue many times before. It looks like in my beta install that I have the original T-Maps from the 2.5 release.

*EDIT*
Yea, there's something wrong here. There's a few maps missing as well;
Bridge Construction, Monkey Island, PBall, SF Refinery, Spankyville, Yeti's Lair, Urban Assault SE and UT04.

It looks like T-Maps wasn't included from the 7.1 release. ELiZ, I probably should have mentioned this somewhere... but the files on Dropbox are an update to the 7.1 full release so the files from 7.1 need to be merged/overwritten with the 7.2 files on Dropbox.

You are correct to assume that there are stuff missing.
The request was to have the maps on the dropbox tested in a beta release.
So I just included the packages I thought were needed.

Do a "Download" instead of copy and you should be able to play the missions in question.
With download you should get all the maps, including the ones you were asking for.

Well i start with one, i run my homeserver to test out the new missions but after a few minutes i've joined my server i get kicked for a "splash interaction" cvar (happens every time).

Might be as Spanky says.
Might also be that PB CVARS are checking for Antipoke.

Here is the 7.19 Beta Client for Windows and Linux

http://sourceforge.net/projects/aa25assist/files/Binaries/719/

Unpack to a NEW folder somewhere, I recommend you using your desktop.

I've included the Folder called 25Assist on the windows client, so that it will automatically ask you if you want to use that instead of the Application data, I suggest that you awnser Yes, so that the Beta will be completly seperate from your current Assist version. If you fail to seperate the two, you will be kicked/banned when you try to play back in 7.14(Current) version.

I’ve also included a aa-pbsv.cfg that you can use if you want to run a 7.19 Beta Server.
Replace the one that is created in your server folder(The server folder will only be there when you started the server once)

So once again, when you get the question if you want to use the 25Assist foled instead of Application Data, click Yes

I'll keep a server up as long as I can, It's named:
ELiZ's 7.19 Beta Server
I'll join myself from time to time with my test account,
ELiZ.aao25.com

This Beta will be active until 4:th of Jan.
Can any of the mappers explain what we need tested?

This will happend when player uses win8.
With the latest release of Assist players can now play on Windows8.

Google "Pink PBSS" and you'll se that there are more games that have same issue.
It is up to you serverowners how to react to these pbss.

I've been unable to replicate.
Was it a one time deal, or is it still doing it?

Did it crash when you unchecked it, or when you pressed OK?

Your OS?
