So the game is freezing for over a minute sometimes? Does this happen in any other games? Sounds like it could be a GPU or possibly driver issue.

While I agree that saying stuff on a shoutbox or forum won't necessarily give any direct results to whatever situation you want solved, there's always something to be said about spreading awareness. The effects may not be direct or perhaps noticeable, but you can't say it's nothing.

It sounds more like an OS problem or driver issue if it happens every single time. Either the OS isn't shutting down AA correctly (not Assist as it doesn't use the game sounds) or there's a problem with your sound driver. I would try reinstalling your sound driver first.

I seem to remember a certain admin that never released a single fix/update for Assist despite all of the posts claiming he was going to. He even claimed he would rewrite Assist in a better language if you can imagine that.
I could list those stupid bugs here for long, but they are all ignored, so what's the point?
But yeah, go make your BIG UPGRADE to 9.0.0.0.0, lol.

It's all relative though. A busy night on AAO25 now could be matched with just my own clan playing an internal scrim back in 2008 or so...
Really quiet over the weekend, but it is 4th July. Being in Scotland I forgot and thought AA was finally dying, but I can see people are filtering back. Probably fairly bloated....
