You can't login in your official army profile jacket because that service doesn't exists anymore.

i will start with yetis

;D that map would really make use of a correct loc. name reporting...also, think of players reporting in the waste bin or behind the headphones  ;D

Yes, that's something I want to do.

For report in locations, maybe you guys could give ideas as to what you want. Basically we just have to make a box around an area, it's called a CommVolume. When a player is inside that area, they report the value of the CommVolume.

Well, giving a name for the location, precise enough to be reasonably "detected" and eventually easy to recall. I might type down a list of location names for Breakout and some other maps and post it here if it's ok :)

Of course it's not meant to have you giving different priorities or working on features like this before anything else, i posted for the sake of giving some suggestions.

what also would be cool ...when you go on map it writes IMAGE NOT AVAIBLE.
is it possible to make a map picture there?

agree, on AA classic maps there's an aerial view of the map i think (it's a nice help for anyone who don't know the whole map).

Tasty things going on :D :D you're planning to use it for a on/off light switch?

This trigger allows mappers to change some of the zone properties using a trigger.
//   The specific case this class was written for was to enable a switchable "escalator"
//   zone to be created, where the escalator could move in two directions at once.

Well, one thing that came up to my mind lately, some mAAp maps don't have map location names so when you report in for your teammates to know your position, you just report nothing. I'm aware that not all of the mAAp maps are suitable for this kind of thing, like UT04 or Shipment/PBall (which does not need it) but some others might benefit (helps teamwork gameplay).

As far as i recall Breakout and SFTerminal Conflict (not sure about TC) don't have locations names and might benefit.

Also, to people giving some suggestions about how to make it better; ya we know. This is just us showing you previews after all. There's a certain sequence of design you take where you get the bones of the project down first (in this case getting the barrel to explode corectly) and then patching up the design afterwards (custom sounds and textures).

I think you're doing really more than fine with that, creating a new dynamic object from scratches. I actually expected it would have taken more time but you literally blew it out :)

I'll raise the ambient brightness a bit for you guys. I think I have to re-do the zone_info's anyway since I think they crash the game.

ouch :/ is that because of the reasons explained here? http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/Legacy:ZoneInfo

I find it wierd that a geometry has to be rebuilt after changing lighting parameteres...but since it is Unreal i guess it is ok, lol.

assist uses a different installed (clean according to assist) copy of americas army. the other none assist install is for map testing, I know pb will kick me for whitelist thats why they are not in the assist install but in a standalone install.
do u want me to draw a picture?

Nope i think we both got it without singing Light of Day - Day of Darkness  :P and that's by far a great result.

looked awesome that movie,

but the Barrels are really needed in this game?

Any object that you can interact with or that has a dynamic behavior is a nice add imho. Then, of course everything has its place. Would be a little wierd to find an explosive barrel in the Operation Room in Hospital but heck, you never know what those Opfor will do right?  ;D

overall map brightness? or some placed barrel fires/lights that nate would love to use for some extra light in those dark corners?

Hmm some of both, some more map brightness and a couple of timed explosive barrels placed right under team's spawns ;D

Bug Reports / Re: PB Logs ignoreing MD5
« on: Saturday, January 14, 2012, 07:26:41 AM »
is there anything we can do to make pb server give clients more time to respond or give them a second chance, people getting kicked for this is just stupid.

Lolz, it has happened for years :) giving more time might help, but note that if the communication between the player client and the server is flawed for any reason (e.g. a poor connection on the client side, or server having hiccups, or any other reason) the player might end up getting kicked the same. Players that get 9002 MD5 errors sometime also have a critical error crashing their client. Punkbuster is quite picky about communications.
