Games & Programming / Re: Computers "talking" to each other
« on: Thursday, May 19, 2011, 15:06:29 PM »
i put all 3 computers under the same workgroup name and now they all seem to be talking to each other...well sort of.  my Windows 7 laptop can talk to my other 2 Windows XP computers but my XP computers cannot talk to my Laptop (the 2 XP's however can talk with each other). any ideas on how to make the XP's talk to the laptop?

i mean, dropbox is nifty and all...but idk...still unsure about it since its just one folder and theres a limit to how much can be in there. I like the whole setting up a home network thingy

Games & Programming / Computers "talking" to each other
« on: Monday, May 16, 2011, 21:58:45 PM »
well i have 2 computers at my house now along with my laptop.  For a while i had them all "talking" to one another where i could be on one computer and just go to My Network Places and be able to access the files of the other two computers.  But it seems that this only works for a while because it always seems like i am trying fix it because they randomly stop wanting to talk with one another and its really getting frustrating.  I just want to be able to type and important document and quickly be able to save it to the other computers (keeping them synced) to ensure its backed up and easily accessible.  Is there another way to do this? is this the best and easiest way? if it is, can you tell me how to hook up 2 Windows XP computers and a Windows 7 laptop? hahah

Games & Programming / Crysis 2 vs Black Ops
« on: Monday, April 25, 2011, 19:36:28 PM »
Singleplayer Crysis 2 looks phenomenal to me and the Crysis 2 multiplayer looks like a good competitor for Black Ops. I dont own and havent played either but i have played their predecessors.

ill give you an update on how this goes in a few days.  I just had to send it back for a new one because the hard drive was making a very high pitched whistling noise when it was idle.
